The Slim Sword is a Sword that recurrently appears across the Fire Emblem Series. Accurate and lightweight, this sword's merits are hampered by its low Might, and is considered a weaker yet lighter version of the Iron Sword.
Slim Swords are not very useful weapons, due to the fact that almost every sword unit in the series has a constitution of at least 5, making them capable of using iron swords without any speed penalties. Even if a Unit had a constitution below 5, the slight speed penalty might still be considered worth it to forego the atrocious might of a slim sword. It can, however, be used to achieve higher critical rates in conjunction with a crit bonus from the Swordmaster class, and/or a crit boosting support, if no Killing Edge is available or the unit in question does not have sufficient constitution or weapon rank to wield it.
