The Spear (スレンドスピア Surendo supia, lit. Slender Spear in the Japanese versions) is a Lance that recurrently appears across the Fire Emblem series. This iteration of the Spear grants bonuses of +17 HP, +5 Strength, +4 Skill, +9 Speed, +4 Defense, and +14 Resistance to its wielder, and can be obtained with the Mine Glitch by trading it for the obtainable Luna of a nearby Shaman. Since Vaida is a flying unit, she will attack one of your units first before triggering the mine. This makes it dangerous to engage Vaida without proper weapons or stats. Anyone with weapons strong against lances and with at least 18 speed to avoid being doubled. This is possible because the items themselves do not affect obtainability, but the inventory slot does. This Spear can also be obtained by transferring it directly to Merlinus.
