Stone(石) is the name of a Dark Magic tome used by Veld in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, and a weapon used by Gorgons in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. If it hits, it will turn the target to stone, and that unit will be unable to move or attack until they recover, or are healed with a Restore.
In Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, the effect is permanent and can only be removed with the Kia Staff. It also turns into a Fenrir tome when stolen.
In Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, because Stone has no rank, it can be used by any character if obtained through codes or the Enemy Control Glitch. One can use the Enemy Control Glitch to get "Stone" from Gorgons in Neleras Peak by putting them in the convoy. Any magic-users that previously did not know Dark Magic can be trained, since Stone is the only form of monster magic that gives Weapon Experience; in order to get a D in Dark Magic so the magic user can use Flux, he/she needs to use Stone eight times (5x8=40).
