Etymology[edit | edit source]
Beagalltach (also Begallta) was a short sword given to Diarmuid Ua Duibhne by his father Aengus. It broke in two pieces after hitting a boar with it.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Despite being crafted by Macuil and having its effects increased by the Crest of Riegan, the in-game model bears the Crest of Chevalier on its engravings, oddly.
- The sword's broad blade and lack of a point are typical features of an executioner's sword. Those were, however, usually two-handed weapons and not wielded in combat.
- The Sword of Begalta can be seen on the statue of Macuil.
