—In-game description, Shin Monshō
The Swordslayer (ソードキラー Sōdo kirā, lit. Sword Killer) is an uncommon Sword/Axe that recurrently appears across various titles in the Fire Emblem Series. This weapon essentially bestows upon its wielder the ability to double the amount of damage that he is capable of inflicting against such sword-based classes like Myrmidons, Swordmasters, Mercenaries, and Heroes, even if they do not have a sword actively equipped.
In the weapon's manifestation as an Axe in The Blazing Blade and The Sacred Stones, it effectively alters the order of the Weapon Triangle, such that while it is strong against Swords, it is instead weak against Lances. To this end, wielders of the Lancereaver blade are able to inflict effective damage against wielders of the Swordslayer.
