Izushi

Takehiro Izushi started his career at Nintendo in 1975 as an engineer, later he became part of Nintendo Research and Development 1. The first game he helped develop was colour TV-Game 6, released in 1977,a group of games that were all a variation of virtual tennis. As part of R&D1, Izushi worked on a number of different Game & Watch titles, before moving on to work primarily as a hardware engineer. In 1997, Izushi became head of Nintendo Research and Development 1 after Gunpei Yukoi's retirement. From that point he produced a number of games released by Nintendo and Intelligent Systems, until he handed leadership over to his successor Hitoshi Yamagami in 2004.
