OK, there seems to be three different people here, Ethnia, daughter of Reptor, Ethnia, Queen of Alster, and Ethnia, mythical goddess. It kinda bugs me that they ended up reusing the same name three times in the same setting. Strange oversight? On one hand, we can make the case that the people were named after the Goddess, so no real problem there. On the other hand, we have two people in the same setting with the same name, and a (recently made slim) chance that they are in fact the same person. What should we do about this, if anything?--Otherarrow 14:35, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

When it says this thing suggests they are two different people, how strong is the suggestition because normally i would assume they were the same person.

There's a family tree in the aforementioned book, which lists an Ethnia in the Freege family being the mother of Amid and Linda and another Ethnia under the Alster family being the mother of Miranda. The same tree also has "Claude's sister" and Sylvia being separate characters. Aveyn Knight 15:09, July 6, 2010 (UTC)
So, since the tree has two separate entries for Sylvia and Claud's sister, who are widely hinted and believed to be the same person, would that throw doubt on the two Ethnias on the same family tree being, well, two? Or does it simply disprove something fans have long accepted as canon, and there are in fact two Ethnias? The real question seems to be "Should we accept this family tree as acccurate and thus remove the info about Sylvia being Claud's sister, and split the Ethnia page?" Sorry if that makes no sense.--Otherarrow 15:23, July 6, 2010 (UTC)
Claude and Sylvia have never been confirmed to be siblings, so we could just leave it as speculation. The family tree seems accurate to me and has hints of being backed by IS (such as revealing Mariccle had an elder sister, who married the chief of Rivough and gave birth to Galzus and that Levin's father and not his mother was descended from Sety), so I would trust it. Although I don't think either Ethnia is really important enough to warrant splitting the Ethnia page. Aveyn Knight 15:56, July 6, 2010 (UTC)
Oh yeah, here is the new family tree (it's in Japanese unlike the Treasure one). Aveyn Knight 15:57, July 6, 2010 (UTC)
