A Gaiden question, what is the Gaiden equivalent of Hero, as in a 2nd tier Mercenary? The sprite is identical to the Hero from FE1, so I assumed it was Hero.--Otherarrow 22:37, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
Myrmidon (kenshi). Yes, I know it's messed up.--Lenster 22:43, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- That is confusing. I guess I'll update the Myrmidon page then.--Otherarrow 22:48, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
About the "Promotes From"[]
Should it be a like "Fighter (Gaiden) (FE2 only or Alm only)" and Fighter (FE5/8 or FE2/5/8 if Axe Fighters did promote to Hero in Gaiden)? -- King Marth 64 (talk • other wikis • blogs) http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k576/DigiPen92/25px-Marthsprite.gif http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k576/DigiPen92/Luigidance.gif 15:54, July 28, 2011 (UTC)
- I don't understand what you mean. Anyway, Axe Fighters didn't exist in Gaiden, and Alm's class is more like a Lord class unique to him.--Otherarrow 19:35, July 28, 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, so that needs to be fixed, thanks. Like change to "Fighter (Lord class) (FE2 only)" and "Fighter (FE5/8)" instead of "Fighter (FE2/5/8)" in the Promote From List without any confusion. Would that work? -- King Marth 64 (talk • other wikis • blogs) http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k576/DigiPen92/25px-Marthsprite.gif http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k576/DigiPen92/Luigidance.gif 04:58, August 2, 2011 (UTC)
Gaiden Hero {Sword Fighter} and Myrmidon[]
I am not very familiar with Gaiden translation-wise, so I just have a quick question: why is all references to Hero {Sword Fighter} in Gaiden being moved to the Myrmidon page? --Thenewguy34 16:40, April 15, 2017 (UTC)
- Whatever the original case it looks like it's being localized as Myrmidon Are You Serious (talk) 17:38, April 15, 2017 (UTC)
- Even so, that just means...in this one game the Hero class is called Myrmidon, not that it actually is the Myrmidon class. It is still in all functionality, a renamed Hero, who promotes from Mercenary, due to Alm's class having dibs on the name. It'd be just confusing to say "hey, this is actually Myrmidon the speedy sword class that promotes to Swordmaster". In all honesty, naming with the Myrmidon and Heroes classes is already a big mess, espcially in the Japanese version, so we should play it by ear instead of being exceptionally literal.--Otherarrow (talk) 18:28, April 15, 2017 (UTC)
