Souls no longer tormented?[]
The revived boss morphs will gain a bit of color and smile as they are felled. As if their spirits finally met peace. Has anyone else noticed that? Zpamm3r (talk) 02:41, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
"Un-morphing", maybe?[]
Interesting. Maybe since morphs can have varying degrees of personality/emotion of their own (Limstella is nearly robotic while Sonia is an abusive mom), they have bits and pieces of the characters they're based on (Reed bros, Kenneth, etc) that are mostly suppressed when they're alive (being able to fight) but are able to come out when they're dying. In other words, morphs act dead when they're alive but show at least some emotion when they're dying (just look at Ephidel's death quote, for instance)

From a lore-related perspective, Nergal did work with Quintessence. Perhaps that's related to the un-morphing process/soul release. Zpamm3r (talk) 13:50, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
