I don't really know, but uh, isn't the Horseman class in FE11 and 12 similar to this class, in a way? They both promote from a lower tier bow-using class, they both ride on horses, and they both use Bows and Swords. Shouldn't there be a trivia that says this is similar to it?50px-4853663.pngMeVsZombiesMeWin 06:43, October 26, 2013 (UTC)

Shouldn't we move this to Ranger and then change Ike's class to "Ranger (Path of Radiance)" or something? We have pages for the Awakening and Fates Merchants, there's no excuse for keeping it at its Japanese name if an official English one exists. Please read our policies, we cite this very case as an example. I do not know what the Fates Merchant class was in the Japanese version (though I want to say it was the same, if not very similar), but if it turns out the two classes DO have different names, that falls on that and wouldn't affect Forrest Ranger. We should strive to avoid the parenthesis if we can.--Otherarrow (talk) 15:58, February 25, 2017 (UTC)
Well... With all due respect, that's an incredibly stupid policy for an English language wiki. I don't see how disambiguating tags are somehow worse than having a name that people who have played an actual game where the class appears won't recognize. I agree we should change this to Ranger. -- Khang (talk) @fandom 01:12, February 26, 2017 (UTC)
Shrug. I admit the nitpicker in me is bugged by the tag but it's no big issue and all. (Of course, in nearly every place the TSS version of the class is linked to, it's potholed to Ranger anyway so I don't think most people notice until they are already here). So, do we have consensus to go ahead or should we wait for more input?--Otherarrow (talk) 04:49, February 26, 2017 (UTC)
Let's proceed. -- Khang (talk) @fandom 07:56, February 26, 2017 (UTC)

Not to nitpick (I just noticed this myself) but shouldn't this be Ranger (Genealogy of the Holy War)? Yes, it was named Ranger in The Sacred Stones, but class does originate as the Forrest Knight in FE4 (and the Japanese versions make no distinction). I think this kinda thing would be a good thing to note for the future.--Otherarrow (talk) 17:08, March 9, 2017 (UTC)

Oh so we move the page name to where it originates, not where it was officially known as Ranger? You sure about this? -- Khang (talk) @fandom 05:38, March 10, 2017 (UTC)
I'm not, which is why I am asking here. Like I said, this kinda thing would probably be good to make note of if similar cases arrive in the future. Personally...I dunno, it seems kinda off to have the subtitle say (The Sacred Stones) while the infobox lists it's first appearance as Genealogy of the Holy War. But that could easily just be me; and I wanted more input on it.--Otherarrow (talk) 05:52, March 10, 2017 (UTC)
Hm, I'm fine with either, so if there's no objection, I'll move the page, shouldn't be a problem. -- Khang (talk) @fandom 02:22, March 11, 2017 (UTC)
