National flag of Talys

Talys (タリス Tarisu, Talis in the Japanese version), an ally of Altea, is an island kingdom situated off Archanea's eastern coast. It is ruled by King Mostyn with his daughter, Princess Caeda. Due to its size, but mostly because of its political situation, Talys lacks its own order of knights.

Marth spent two years in hiding here after the fall of Altea, training and preparing to take back his kingdom from Dolhr. King Mostyn gave Marth and his knights the use of the island's eastern fortress. Marth was able to repay Mostyn's generosity by coming to the king's rescue when the Galder Pirates attacked Talys and took him hostage. Emboldened by the successful battle, Marth and his knights left the island after defeating the pirates, accompanied by Caeda.

Talys would eventually become part of the Halidom of Ylisse, along with Archanea and Pyrathi.

Talys is the first map played in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, as well as the first non-prologue chapter in the remake Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. From the starting point on the eastern end of the map, the player's forces must move west, defeating enemies and navigating the terrain to retake the castle in the northwestern corner of the island.

The map also appears in the DLC for Fire Emblem Awakening, in which it is used as the setting for a trio of Xenologue battles: Champions of Yore 1, 2, and 3.
