Tarvos is a personal Axe that appears exclusively in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. Alongside the blade Caladbolg and the bow Lughnasadh, Tarvos is a national treasure of Daein, and is retrieved from the vaults of the royal palace for use against the Laguz Alliance. Upon retrieval, the axe is conferred to Nolan as a gift from King Pelleas, bound to him as a personal weapon.
Stat-wise, Tarvos' Might is equal to that of the Silver Poleax, with all of its other stats being superior. Apart from this, the axe grants Nolan a bonus of +4 Defense when it is equipped.
Tarvos is, along with its siblings, absent from the Japanese version, and is unique to the localized versions of the game.
