—Opening Narration
The Conqueror is Chapter 19 of Fire Emblem Awakening. This chapter takes place in Valm Castle, despite Chrom's army approaching it.
Story[]
The fall of Yen'fay meant that the last bastion of the Valmese Empire rests in the hands of the Conqueror himself. Back at Valm Castle, Cervantes and Excellus discuss the upcoming battle, with the latter claiming that he has set things up so their forces would not have to fight at all. Walhart overhears this, stating his displeasure in such underhanded tactics.
The Shepherds arrive in the field fronting Valm Castle where Walhart stands open in the field ready to cross weapons. Living up to his name, Walhart proves to be an indomitable foe, but the Shepherds are able to at least stagger him, forcing him to retreat into the castle. Despite his retreat, the Valmese soldiers are willing to cover the Conqueror and die for him. Suddenly, an uproar is heard from behind the Shepherds. A massive army of dynasts have arrived in support of the Shepherds arrive, baffling Excellus who believed he had them under his thumb. With their allegiance made clear, the Shepherds make their final siege into the castle itself.

One possible strategy which can be used to complete this chapter in one turn is to use:
-A unit with 'Galeforce' skill and one of the following: a ranged weapon and 8 movement OR more than 8 movement
-A powerful unit which will be able to defeat Walhart in a single combat
Start by placing the unit with 8 or higher movement in the space diagonally up/left of Chrom, and the powerful unit within pairing distance (if they are the same unit, you don't need to worry about this). Start the battle and move the powerful unit to the far-moving unit and pairing up. Next, move them 1 space (2 if possible) left and 7 upwards, then defeat the Paladin to activate Galeforce. Next, move as close to Walhart as possible and switch to the strong unit. Make sure any other units you brought are safe, then end the turn. During the enemy phase, Walhart will attack your strong unit and kill himself, completing the chapter in one turn.
If you are not going for the one turn strategy, have your units trained up to withstand the onslaught of mounted enemies and Wyvern Lords that are spread out across the map.
Walhart is quite powerful and should be taken down carefully, especially on higher difficulties where he gets various skills like Prescience, Pavise, Aegis, and even Rightful King.
Reinforcements[]
There are a total of 16 forts from which enemies spawn (4 Top, 4 top-central, 4 bottom-central and 4 bottom). The order of reinforcements goes from left to right and from up to down. Since most of the reinforcement are Paladins, Great Knights and Wyvern Lords, it is advised to bring effective weapons against them, like Beast Killer and Rapier.
