Story[]
Alear and Corrin find themselves in a river in Firene, which Corrin likens to the place where her fate branched into three options. Alear is confused, so she explains that in her home world, she was born in the kingdom of Hoshido, but raised in the opposing kingdom of Nohr. She tells Alear that the river was where the two countries fought, and she had to choose between siding with either of them, or fighting alone. Alear empathizes with her plight, and she challenges them to a battle, both to prove the convictions of their own choice to fight Sombron and to strengthen their bonds, which Alear accepts.
Alear manages to defeat Corrin, who commends them for giving her sword, Yato, a worthy fight. She tells them how the sword was forged to bring peace to the world, and that it chose her on the same day her mother died. Alear empathizes with her, having also lost their mother. Corrin expresses gratitude to both her friends and the Yato for giving her the strength to carry on after that event. She warns Alear that their future choices may bring them suffering, but that she will remain by their side, and Alear thanks her for this.

Initially, this chapter is rather straightforward: pull and slowly kill off the Snipers and the Halberdiers who are crossing the bridge. You can also try crossing the riverbank to get started on the enemies on the other side of it, just be mindful of the mage.
However, after an certain point, Corrin will summon an wave small wave of reinforcements and use a Dragon Vein to dry out the river (and set a few tiles of it on fire). After which, she'll start advancing, alongside with the eight Fabrications that are styled after the royal family from Fire Emblem Fates.
Outside of debuffing your team, Corrin doesn't poses as great as an threat as the Fabrications accompanying her.
