The Dark Pontifex is the third History Mode map of Fire Emblem Warriors after beating Chapter 15 of Story Mode. This map takes place in the city of Thabes.

- Lissa vs. Xander comes from the fight between Alm and Rudolf in Land of Sorrow.
- Good News comes from the C-Support conversation between Tethys and Gerik.
Trivia[]
- Since this is a classic Fire Emblem map, sound effects from the first Fire Emblem game, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, take place of the default ones in Warriors.
- Because this is a recreation of the original map, the lines from the original game are reused.
- Lines are also taken from An Oasis of Magic, A Knight-Filled Sky, and Manakete Princess, but Bantu and Gotoh's roles are given to Robin and Leo due to their absence in Warriors.
- It is possible to clear this map without finding the apparatus. This also makes it the only History Mode chapter that can be completed without viewing all the non-xenologue conversations.
