The Sage Lord is the tenth Paralogue in Fire Emblem Engage.
Story[]
Alear arrives by a river in Firene, which Leif recognizes as the River Thracia. He explains that, at that river, he fought against the tactician Saias and the knight Reinhardt in a grueling battle. Leif then senses a great power from the location, and challenges Alear to a trial which will strengthen their bonds. Alear accepts his challenge.
Alear manages to defeat Leif, who commends their strength. After Alear thanks Leif for his guidance, he ponders on a message he was given on the day of his battle: to make any sacrifice worthwhile. He comments that it is a guide's responsibility to make the future into something righteous. Alear thanks him, and asks him to continue fighting alongside them, to which Leif swears to do.

This is the most tedious and unreasonable map in this game. You can easily win by keep tanking ballista from enemies until they run out of ammo, then kill them. So it would be best if you had a durable tank. They also lean on cavalry and armorer, so Magic and Horsebane are great choices.
Four soldiers are holding an item. They will start to escape to the map's right side once the game begins, so it is nearly impossible to catch them without getting in trouble. The most effective way is Hortensia with Micalah's Augment with Warp/Rewarp Staff + Someone with Sigurd's Ring + (Optional) Dancer to ambush enemies stationed at the ballista and prevent enemies from escaping at the same time. Again, You should beware of the enemies surrounding you. So units that you send via Warp/Rewarp Staff should be durable. You don't need to catch all the escapists. Just one who carries Slience and Speedwing. There are two enemies group.
The armorers at the middle of the map. They will start to attack you once you reach their vicinity. Use magic, Armorslayer or Ike's Great Aether with Hammer. Leif and his mage knights will chase you when you reach the vicinity. You can defeat mage knights by using Sigurd's Override with Horseslayer. If you cannot find the point of attacking them, Just fall back. You may need some high magical defense to receive damage. Leif has all weapon types, and you cannot break him easily. So use an Engage attack. Magic is also an alternative option.
Trivia[]
- The layout of this map is pulled from Chapter 22 of Fire Emblem: Thracia 776.
- Emblem Leif takes Reinhardt's boss position.
- The Martial Master above Leif represents Saias, and the General above Saias represents Cowen, even having a Meteor tome and Fracture staff in his inventory despite his inability to wield them.
- Both maps have a great number of Ballista in identical positions.
- Just as in the original, once players step on the bridge furthest to the right, the first bridge is destroyed.
