“Anna was approached by Pallardó, a merchant who frequents Garreg Mach, with a get-rich-quick scheme. It appears that has plan has more than a few layers...”
—Opening Narration

The Secret Merchant is Anna's Paralogue Chapter in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. This chapter takes place at the Brionac Plateau, and its availability varies depending on the route. In the Azure Moon and Verdant Wind routes, the Paralogue becomes available during the White Clouds arc after recruiting Anna. If the player chose to teach the Black Eagles, it is only available in the Crimson Flower route, and doesn't become available until the war phase post-timeskip. In Crimson Flower, Anna shares the Paralogue with Jeritza. The Paralogue is unavailable in the Silver Snow route.

Story[]

Anna ponders a suspicious, but potentially lucrative business dealing with Pallardó, a fellow merchant. She is asked to fund a treasure excavation in which the two will share whatever is found fifty/fifty. Despite her initial hesitance, however, she elects to go forward with the plan, with Byleth's class assisting her on the excavation site.

The excavation turns out to be a major success, but Pallardó begins to take all of the treasure for himself, promising to give Anna her share once he's calculated the overall profits. Pallardó has also hired mercenaries to aid in his transport of the treasure, and Byleth's force steps in to help stop Pallardó and recover the treasure for Anna.

After the battle's conclusion, Pallardó is driven off, and the ending will vary slightly depending on the route on which the Paralogue is played. In Azure Moon and Verdant Wind, Anna intends to file a report with the monastery against Pallardó. In Crimson Flower, Jeritza states that he'll deal with Pallardó before giving chase, implying that he kills him. In either case, Anna ends up with the full share of the treasure.
