—In-game description from Echoes.
The Tomb Lord (キングマミー Kingumamī, lit. King Mummy) is an enemy-only Monster class that is first introduced in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. It is the corpse of a highly powerful and vastly skilled hero of yore, and it utilizes its claws to deadly effect. They could be considered a sort of "third-tier" equivalent or even an Overclass of the Revenant/Entombed class line.
History in the Series[edit | edit source]
The Tomb Lords mark their debut in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, appearing solely in the DLC chapter Lords of the Grave. They were a legion of brave soldiers honored for their service and were given the highest of honors and funerals at their passing. During the war between Zofia and Rigel, their tombs are destroyed, forcing them from their slumber. Enraged, they attempt to visit their rage and curse upon the world of the living before being laid back to rest.
Overview[edit | edit source]
Combat[edit | edit source]
The Tomb Lord comes with incredible base stats unlike any other class in the game (barring Duma's Fell God class), making them exceedingly dangerous foes to combat without powerful units or without anti-terror weapons on hand. Many of their number come with the basic claw weapon employed by revenants and entombed, though a small number instead wield the deadlier venin claws and numbing claws.
Uniform[edit | edit source]
Befitting its status as the corpse of a hero of yore, the tomb lord is clad in a suit of armor that once belonged to a Spartan. Golden armor adorns the body from collar to foot, exposing its bandaged head, arms, and feet; draped over its back and underneath the faulds is a tattered, crimson cape and loincloth respectively. Its body is not as decayed as many other undead monsters (including a properly functioning eye), likely due to the lavish funeral service held for it when the original hero it was had died.
