Tomebreaker is a Skill that debuted in TearRing Saga: Berwick Saga, under the name Dodge Magic. It has appeared in multiple Fire Emblem games starting with Fire Emblem Awakening.

Overview

It is a skill that triggers if a unit would be hit by a magic orb. When activated, it rerolls the hit with an accuracy cap of 33%; thus, it effectively cuts hit rates > 33% by two thirds, and square roots hit rates below 33%.

In Fire Emblem Awakening, if an enemy unit is equipped with any tome, the user will gain +50 to their Hit Rate and Evasion. It should be noted that the ability does not stack with the tome Superior Jolt; only one of the two's effects will be used.

In Fire Emblem Heroes, Tomebreakers are type B passive skills, which are seperated into three types to account for the three available types of tomes: R, G and B, for Red, Green and Blue Tomebreaker respectively.

• G Tomebreaker can be learned without inheriting by: Henry.
• B Tomebreaker can be learned without inheriting by: Robin (Female).
