Transmute is a skill that debuted in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.

Overview[]

In Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, Transmute is a passive weapon skill that converts attacks from what would otherwise be a physical damage dealing weapon into magical attacks. It's assigned to weapons such as the Lightning Sword, giving a named skill to the functionality of magical weapons for the first time.

For its return in Three Houses and Warriors: Three Hopes, the skill is changed entirely. While weapons that deal magical damage still exist in the game, that is no longer a skill granted by the weapon and is now simply an inherent property of that weapon. Instead, the skill grants +3 to all stats for a period of time if the unit is hit by a magical attack.
