Story[]
Ike's group learns that Leanne is being held in Gritnea Tower. Ena reveals that she found this information by tracking a troop of Daein soldiers assigned to the tower. Ike plans to lead a small force south to rescue Leanne, and Princess Elincia agrees to stay behind to oversee the preparations for an assault on the capital.
Meanwhile, in Gritnea Tower, Leanne regains consciousness, and Izuka, a Daein officer, speaks about his orders to keep her imprisoned. He mentions the presence of dangerous soldiers, including beast laguz who have been drugged to prevent them from changing forms.
Ike's team, including Ranulf and Ena, sets out to infiltrate the tower, aware of the disadvantages they might face when night falls. As they approach, they learn that reinforcements for the enemy are on the way, and Izuka orders the release of Feral Ones (laguz monsters) to stop the insurgents. The group prepares for battle against the twisted laguz, who include tigers, cats, hawks, ravens, and dragons. Ike and his companions are determined to rescue Leanne and punish those responsible for harming the laguz, especially Reyson, who is deeply angered by the mistreatment of their kind. Once the battle in the tower was finished, Ike and his allies are soon confronted by Naesala, who reveals that he rescued Leanne as a favor to Tibarn, the Hawk King, in exchange for settling a debt. Despite the gratitude, Naesala refuses to join the fight against Ashnard, citing a lack of personal stake in the conflict. Reyson and Ike try to convince him, but Naesala insists on leaving.
Nasir then leads the group to a hidden basement, revealing a horrific scene of tortured and mutated laguz, victims of Ashnard's experiments to turn them into powerful, mad soldiers. Ena, a survivor of the experiments, joins Ike’s army, eager to seek justice against her former king. Later, as the army nears Melior, the capital of Daein, a soldier reports that some troops are eager for the war to continue, hoping for promotions despite the suffering. Ike is disturbed by their desire for further conflict, highlighting the growing tension as the war draws to a close.

Tibarn is going to do his own thing here, don't worry about him too much. Immediately after the game starts, you will run into a group of feral ones, so block the road with your strongest walls and keep your long-range attackers right behind them. Keep moving forward in this formation until you hit the opening. From there, just attack the enemies in small groups, and they shouldn't be a huge problem. Watch out for the dragons, as they have a lot of attack power. However, they cannot counterattack from a distance, so thunder magic should help you deal with them.
