The Umbrella (洋傘 Yōgasa, lit. Western Umbrella) is a Sword that is introduced in Fire Emblem Fates. A joke weapon that literally takes on the appearance of an intricately-designed parasol, the Umbrella is not suited for combat due to its low Might.
The Umbrella can be considered the weaker form of the Kodachi, since both weapons have extremely similar effects, especially their inability to double opponents, but allows the opponent to have an increased chance of doubling them (+5 effective speed for the enemy). However, Umbrellas are superior to Kodachis despite having lower damage as they can at least trigger offensive skills.
