Unarmed Combat is an Ability in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It allows the unit to fight with their bare fists in combat.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Being a class ability of the Brawler and Grappler classes, Unarmed Combat allows a character to fight without having a weapon item equipped. Though they receive no bonus might from a weapon, it acts much like a Gauntlet-type weapon, including the guaranteed follow-up attack that Gauntlets and Knuckles normally have. That being said, since they are not equipped with a weapon item, they are not subjected to weapon weight and thus take no Speed penalties.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • As this Skill was locked as a class ability to male gender-locked classes prior to the Cindered Shadows DLC via War Monk & War Cleric, Byleth was the only possible female unit that could use Unarmed Combat, through relearning the Mastery Skill of the Brawler class by spending Renown for it in a New Game+ run after mastering Brawler as Male Byleth.
    • Even so, Female Byleth remains the only female unit that can learn Unarmed Combat as a Mastery Ability at all.
