Unarmed Combat is an Ability in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It allows the unit to fight with their bare fists in combat.

Overview

Being a class ability of the Brawler and Grappler classes, Unarmed Combat allows a character to fight without having a weapon item equipped. Though they receive no bonus might from a weapon, it acts much like a Gauntlet-type weapon, minus the guaranteed follow-up attack that Gauntlets and Knuckles normally have. That being said, since they are not equipped with a weapon item, they are not subjected to weapon weight and thus take no Speed penalties.

Trivia

• As this Skill was locked as a class ability to male gender-locked classes prior to the Cindered Shadows DLC via War Monk & War Cleric, Byleth is the only possible female unit that can use Unarmed Combat, and that's through relearning the Mastery Skill of the Brawler class by spending Renown for it in a New Game+ run after mastering Brawler as Male Byleth.
  • Even so, Female Byleth remains the only female unit that can learn Unarmed Combat as a Mastery Ability at all.
