Urvan (ウルヴァン Uruvan) is an Axe that appears exclusively in the Tellius Series of Fire Emblem. This axe functions as the most powerful axe in both titles that it appears in (although it exists as unused data in Path of Radiance), with it being one 11 SS-ranked weapons available in Radiant Dawn.

Background

After accidentally murdering his wife under the influence of Lehran's Medallion, Greil severed the tendons in his dominant sword arm, swearing off wielding swords for the remainder of his life. He then takes up Urvan as his primary weapon of choice.

Following the events of Chapter 7 in Path of Radiance, Greil wields Urvan in a duel that he engages with his former pupil. Greil is defeated and slain in the process, and Urvan is thereafter used as his grave marker.

Before the events of Rebirth 1 unfold in Radiant Dawn, Caineghis returns Urvan to Ike, believing that his doing so is motivated by the will of the deceased Greil.
