I see BOTW doesn't have a winner yet. What's the point of having Battle of the WEEK if the same battle is there for almost three months? I guess its a good thing that its been moved to the Wikia prefix... should we get rid of it completely or should somebody take over? If so, I think this would be a good project for Trueblade because I'm sure you've noticed that he enjoys that sort of thing and I think he would be responsible enough to take care of it. Plus, it's a good activity for a newer user like him. But, I'd also be happy to get rid of it. I say if Trueblade wants it, we keep it but if it goes dead again, we trash it. What is the verdict?
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-00:14, January 13, 2009 (UTC)

Well, if you remember correctly, I did not want it in the Wiki prefix in the first place...and it has been abandioned for a while...and as for activity for newer users, well, I may be a bit of a hypocrite for saying this, but we got a wiki to edit.--Otherarrow 00:26, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Meh, no one does it anymore... I think Trueblade and other newer users could help with more important things. Seriously, how long was the Need Image template for FE11 there before I gave it an image???? Basically, we should kill it. The winners are usually painfully obvious anyway...Silvie 01:32, 13 January 2009 (UTC)LOL FORGOT TO SIGN!!!!!!!!!!!

Not enough room. need archive to continue

Just a quick question, but is flagging for deletion an admin-only thing, or am I just being a n00b again?Silvie 01:40, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Anyone can mark for deletion (else, we admins would not know if we were away at the time) but only admins can delete.--Otherarrow 01:42, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Anyway, there's still a redirect to Rocking chair/BOTW. I've posted my unfinished sig tutorial in case you guys want to check it out. it's here.

Currently, you add the category [[Category:Pages proposed for deletion]] to the page, but we might make a template later.--Otherarrow 02:08, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Speaking of templates... Edit

The WikiDragon wikipedia article has been deleted and there's still a link to it on the WikiDragon userbox so I'll remove the dead link.

3-13 Archer Edit

I'm gonna go Sherlock Holmes and see if the moron who created it/got pissed over its deletion is still here, and if not, it goes bye-bye....with your permission.Silvie 21:49, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Oh good. I banned that guy twice already, and the only reason I kept it is because Semaj insisted it was important to the fandom or some such baloney.--Otherarrow 22:43, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

We might have seen the last of Semaj...Unfortunately Edit

I've been looking at Semaj's contribs for the other wikis he mentioned he contributed at and he hasn't done anything there either for a while. He even cleared out his page on IT Crowd wiki. I then remembered how he discussed having some users promoted to higher positions about two weeks before he disappeared. His last edit was also changing the Sitenotice back to what it was before, possibly because he thought you wouldn't get around to changing it yourself. His last edit was also very near to the end of the year. I believe it's time to consider that his leaving was perhaps pre-meditated and that this was his last year as a wikia contributor and that he simply did not want to tell us that he was leaving for good. I hope I'm wrong but everything seems to add up. What are your thoughts on the subject?
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-23:09, January 14, 2009 (UTC)

Well, God bless him. We'll have to get along without him...and we'll need every user here to help. Maybe he'll come back, who knows? But we should be prepared for if he doesn't.Silvie 00:14, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

When you see all the edits it shows for example a 845+. Why is that?--Inferuno Ryuu 15:11, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Returning to the issue at hand... Edit

Since Iferuno hasn't replied yet, I assume he's isolated and eliminated his problem so we can continue our discussion.
I agree with Silvie, preparations should be made. Some users should be given advanced privileges as we once again have only one advanced privileges user: You. I imagine it would be helpful for you to have some help. I think it's time to put Template:Requestbox in action. You must take the initiative this time, Otherarrow.
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-01:32, January 17, 2009 (UTC)

Thank you, Otherarrow. I hope I did not sound too disrespectful earlier, after all, you still are my boss. In any effect, I'm glad I inspired you. Also, I'm glad that I didn't have to fill in that box. That "Why do you deserve it?" question was like an elementary school health class question. LOLz. I promise not to abuse my privileges.
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-02:19, January 17, 2009 (UTC)

What privileges will I have as a mod and when will they be active?

C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-02:58, January 17, 2009 (UTC)

Date Edit

After I edit a page, it says at the bottom that the page was edited by myself in September or November instead of January 20th. I originally thought that it might just be an edit that I made before and the page didn't update but it said in page history that I never made an edit on that page before. BTW, What's the difference between rollback and undo?
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-19:28, January 20, 2009 (UTC)

Uh...Huh. That has never happened to me before. And rollback you instantly revert, while undoing takes you to the edit screen. Rollback is more useful for dealing with vandals and the like, speedy reverting I would say.--Otherarrow 22:32, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Ah! Thank you. I guess its a good thing that Rolf and Gheb pages are cleaner now so I might never even have to use rollback but who knows?
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-14:16, January 21, 2009 (UTC)

Featured article Edit

I've been looking at the mainpage and noticing that the featured article has been swordmaster for a really, REALLY long time. We have the voting for a reason so It's about time we change it.
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-13:03, January 29, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, but most of the people voted because they liked the character, not because the article was particulary good though. I'll change it anyway.--Otherarrow 13:08, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Well even if the votes are biased, the article should still change no matter what it is.

I think I might call it battle screenshots just to be on the safe side

Ballistician Edit

Hey uh, in Shadow Dragon I've discovered this class called Ballistician, as the name implies, a character who mans a moving Ballista.

You don't seem to have this class on here yet though... just wondering, if you would like any help with stuff relating to the game. I've been rather busy lately with life in general but I can help out here if I get some time...

Colm 01:45, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Alright, I think I'll play through the game completely before I write up anything, to ensure the best possible understanding of the topics. The game's lack of compelling plot (which I suppose can be attributed to the game being based on the origanal) constantly annoys me though. The low level of text to wade through will probably shorten a playthrough though... if that is to be considered an upside... Colm 02:02, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

I have a few suggestions for this Wiki. Edit

1) Some forums, like the FFWiki has here: finalfantasy:Forum:Index

2) Userboxes, like here: finalfantasy:Final Fantasy Wiki:Userboxes

3) A place that for people who are new to FE, like, one that lists the basics and give hints.

What do you think? CrashGordon94 11:30, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for replying so quickly!

1) Well, doesn't it say how to on Wikia? Also, if it's anything, lots of Wikias seem to have them nowadays. O.o

2) Where are these userboxes? Also, I don't think I could make them, but I'm sure there's someone here that could!

3) Perhaps it should be a community effort then, I could lend a hand if possible. CrashGordon94 11:49, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

1)I don't know either. Also, Semaj told me that he tried before and there wasn't much interest, so nvm.

2) Semaj showed me the category (Category:User_page_templates if you're curious).

3) I think I'll start it now! Though, if you know anyone who could help me, it would be much appreciated. CrashGordon94 09:13, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

I have made the game help page now! Edit

It's here! Perhaps you or another admin could make an announcement about it. CrashGordon94 10:06, 24 March 2009 (UTC) And thanks for the edit! The page is a lot better now. XD CrashGordon94 11:50, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Chapter question. Edit

I've seen some chapters labelled "Chapter <something>x", what does it mean? CrashGordon94 13:53, 25 March 2009 (UTC) Ah, thanks! Is it true that you have to kill off people to get them? CrashGordon94 14:06, 25 March 2009 (UTC) Oh, thank you for letting me know! Are there any in FE9?CrashGordon94 14:20, 25 March 2009 (UTC) Oh, okay. And thanks again! :D CrashGordon94 08:34, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Knives in the weapon triangle? Edit

How are Knives positioned in the weapon triangle? The Bow article mentions that Bows are Neutral, are Knives the same? I want to know this so I can mention it in the Knife article and the Basics page. Also, it might help me when I get my FE game. CrashGordon94 10:09, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

I take it they are either neutral or treated as swords, which would defeat the point of making them separate. I am not sure though.--Otherarrow 10:15, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Right, do you know of any way I can find out which one? CrashGordon94 10:18, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh, okay, nvm CrashGordon94 10:35, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks For The Guidance Edit

I will try and implement what you have suggested for future edits, and will contact you or the other admin if I have a problem doing so.

Thought you might like to know.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 20:50, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Good. I needed to pratice the "delete" function. No offense Semaj, but looking at many of the more major wikis that have forums, they are nothing but trouble. Heck, more than one problem has risen in the FFWiki over people wanting to talk on forums rather than edit pages.--Otherarrow 20:56, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Well if you don't like the forums thats your opinion, just leave all that side of the wiki to me. I think we need something like that, were getting pretty big now and we need somewhere to start co-ordinating the wiki from.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 22:04, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Meh so what if they only edit the forums, it doesn't affect you? Its like picking the salad and then complaining about the soup.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 23:15, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

Well I don't think that'll happen here

we have hard working editors and I think it will be good, it will keep things like, Who is better Sue or Shin off the talk pages (which I always end up wasting my time checking expecting an article related question) and the help desk will become especially useful considering how many new users we've been getting lately.

Ivaldi Edit

Is it not subjective to sy that Moulder or Artur, when equipping Ivaldi, can be hit twice by the Demon King?

Depending on how their stats turn out, it is possable that they will be doubled even if they do not have the Ivaldi equiped, or no one doubles no one, or even they may double him. It's not something that seems good to put in an article, because someone else could come along with "Ivaldi did not make the Demon King double my Artur." and they'd then change it, and it could lead to an edit war or something.--Otherarrow 10:54, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Article on Teeny Edit

You edited the article on Teeny (where I added her various growth rates) by saying that her growth rates are her base stats. That's not so, since a character can't have say, 100 HP, at the beginning, right? Just so you know that those aren't base stats. --LughRules! 12:40, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

The Problem with Charstat is that its stupid Edit

Bad title, but listen to my explanation

  1. One of the columns is called weapon, weapon what? Weapon Rank? Weapons Carried? Weapon types?
  2. Str/Mag thing, that column is only relevant in the game(s) (not sure which) where it is only one or the other, while in most game these should be seperate columns.
  3. If in a new game a different stat is added how is that going to work into the template?
  4. Doesn't include Aid.

Consistancy is good and all, but not when the consistancy is this flawed.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 23:10, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

That is exactly the problem with Charstat, if FE13 (example) has 3 new stats lets call them, A, B and C just to make it easy. Then A, B and C have to be added to Charstat (which by the way I have no idea how to do), then on all the pages where charstat already exists, you have to go back and fill in these new columns with 'does not exist in this game', woudn't it just be easier to phase out charstat now rather, then making it harder and harder.

and either way what does Weapon mean on the charstat page?

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 23:22, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

The only problem with making one for each game is that neither of us know how to edit the damned thing and that will still require some changes, for instance if we make the current one the FE8 one (the one its closest too) then we still need to add skills and aid, we'll also have to change pages that don't belong to that charstat for instance Lucia or any of the rekka no ken ones with it added.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 23:34, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Well Fireemblem has added an FE9&10 so we can start the changes, I maybe away or at least not very active over the next few days so can you co-ordinate this change?

Do we have a category for user pages and subpages? If so, what is it? If not, I think we should make one.
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-19:12, May 11, 2009 (UTC)

"A category is a software feature of MediaWiki that provides automatic indexes, that are useful as table of contents. Together with links and templates they can structure a project and aid navigation."- From Help:Categories. Categories are useful and most other wikias have one if not multiple user page categories like Zeldapedia, the One Wiki to Rule Them All, and Memory Alpha, to name a few. (Some of them are default userbox categories.) You might ask Why? but I ask Why not?
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-19:22, May 12, 2009 (UTC)

First off, great job between you and Samadrej on the wiki. I have been contributing anonymously until just recently but finding it hard to get motivated (need to learn more from the help page and just make a day of it learning the stuff).

More to the point: Can we on this wiki try to make a concentrated effort to include the elemental affinities of at least the Rekka no Ken and Sacred Stones characters in their respective stat boxes? I feel it really adds a lot to the info already provided. Please note that even boss chars have these (yes, even's Thunder by the way, not Lightning). Duessel's is Anima, Eirika's is Light and so on. I know you will get back to me eventually and I am eager to discuss the particulars with you and Samadrej if needed.

I feel I can contribute as I have a few of the boss affins. Everything else should be on Gamefaqs in a Character guide or etc.

Let me know,

--Aivass Remurias 05:44, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

I think you made a mistake Edit

you blocked user:Wikia for inserting nonsense/gibberish into pages...

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 15:25, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

I think so

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 22:38, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Actually it doesn't seem to be welcoming users anymore and I tried unblocking it, but it says it already has been... I think your broke it.

Well, I was getting pretty sick of it anyway...

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 22:49, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

hows that nav template of FE5 you were working on coming along? Edit

When will it be ready, because if its ready for tommorrow it would be easier for me to get it added to all the FE5 pages.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 19:56, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Oi Edit

im not flamming but

FE: TPoD is a real hack and very well known and if u need proof i shall post a link to the vids of it!!!

The preceding unsigned comment was added by Raven92 (talk • contribs).

Oh. A real hack. A fanmade real hack of little notablity. If we let one person make a page for thier hack, then we'd have to let everyone, and people would be too busy adding stuff about those instead of actual content.--Otherarrow 20:45, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Fair point there. Sorry then, won't happen again.

Thanks. Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh there. This is not the first time something like this has come up.--Otherarrow 21:19, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

No worries i understand completely. It must be tough having to edit all the sh*t that people put up...especially the Gheb stuff urgh lol. But yeah you do a good job. peace bro.

The preceding unsigned comment was added by Raven92 (talk • contribs).

Am I the only one who gets the little box at the top of the page reminding me to sign my posts because its a talk page?

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 21:55, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

I get them too. I don't get it either.--Otherarrow 22:01, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Can you do me a quick favor Edit

Got to

and change [[wikipedia:Fire_Emblem]] to [[w:c:fireemblem:Fire_Emblem_(series)|Fire Emblem]] for me.

I would, but i've been blocked off wikia central for a few days for creaating Automatic creation of wikis is stupid wiki, in refernce to that new createwiki feature which has spawned pointless wikis such as

Usernav Edit

Once more, the usernav template needs editing seeing as some of the people on the featured user list have not edited for a while and the list has changed quite a bit since the last edit. Should I save you or Semaj the trouble and edit it myself?
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-14:38, June 10, 2009 (UTC)

All done. I took into account not only the number of edits but whether the user has made any edits yet this year. Wilwy, Sen Toshi, Ultimateria, and HydroKirby have been removed and Engweimin, Wikia, Aveyn Knight, Fireemblem, Inferuno Ryuu, Charged 151, Tedius Zanarukando, and Pacman729 have been added. Collini182 and Colm have stayed on the list. Would you like me to inform all the new users on the list that their names have been added?
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-19:03, June 11, 2009 (UTC)

Right. I'll keep editing it regularly as changes take place.
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-02:04, June 12, 2009 (UTC)

Con=Build?, ...Back Space... Edit

Howdy there. Two things need addressing.

First off, is it alright if I put build where the con would otherwise be when describing characters from Fire Emblem 5 in the starting stats slate?

Second, I've been editing recently and I sometimes accidently hit back space at a bad time, go back to the previous page, and lose all of my edit work... Is there any suggestion you have for me regarding this to prevent this?

--'--Charged151 - any replies to my Talk page' 01:05, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Tear ring saga Edit

should we have articles with tear-ring saga information? I only put th two game articles on them, to briefly cover the sries, I always thought adding more in-depth articles would confuse up the wiki.

It's up too you, but remember it will mess up the skills pages and will require there own categories, when they can be just moved to an easilly created TearRing Saga wiki.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 08:20, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Reasons it will confuse wikiEdit

  1. Nobody really knows anything about those games and the info isn't as easilly sourced as Fire Emblem, so making sure the information is correct and adding to the pages will be hard.
  2. Means we have to come up with categories for it, despite not knowing much about the games.
  3. For exclusive Tear Ring Saga skills, we'd have to make a Tear Ring Saga skills category, when a skill is both fire emblem it would have to be skills and Tear Ring Saga skills which will confuse people, so we'll have to change every page in skills into Fire Emblem Skills (thats about 100+ pages)
  4. Then theres all the ones similar to that, characters to Fire Emblem characters (600+ pages), enemies to Fire Emblem enemies and so on.

I really think it would be asier to create a Tear Ring Saga wiki and just link to it where necesarry, that way the entire category structure won't have to change and we won't end up with about a hundred non-fire emblem pages.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 09:37, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

I have to go now, may not be back until tonight or tomorrow. If you still disagree with me and want to keep the TearRing saga pages cold you set up a vote and we'll ask the rest of the wiki for a decision (seems like a wise thing to do if both the admins disagree).

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 09:49, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

for TearRing saga pages Edit

I created Template:Tcharacter to be used instead of Template:character, it just changes the categorization. Can you update the rest of the pages?

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 01:45, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Love to finish up, but I have to go for the night. Besides, adding a T is not exactly the hardest editing to do.--Otherarrow 02:03, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Stats Growths...Growth Rates... Edit

Hi there. I just was noticing you changed stats growths to growth rates on the Celice page... Does this by anyway mean all the other pages need to have such changes??? --'--Charged151 - any replies to my Talk page' 20:31, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

I don't think thier is much of a difference. Consistanty with the other pages for other games mostly, which all use "growth rates".--Otherarrow 20:37, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

should we give User:Charged151 rollback rights? Edit

He has more edits than User:C13g3 and is also more active and C13g3 has rollback.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 20:15, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Eh, I'm not so sure it is really needed at the moment, you and I usually take care of any problems just fine as it is. If anyone should get rollback, I'd say him or Aveyn Knight though.--Otherarrow 20:32, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

I think your FE4 nav is ready Edit

Is there anything really missing or can we start adding it to pages yet?

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 11:07, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

I think there are NPCs for both Generations that are missing, as well as some terms and such (the Other section was empty. Thanks for adding those Semaj.). I will add some to it, and start adding.--Otherarrow 11:20, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for moving it Edit

I would have missed it otherwise.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 22:22, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

How do you add stuff to a Nav and what do you think of my idea? Edit

I would like to add the Battle of Barhara, and what I think is called the Yied Massacre when I do it (it is the name of the massacre where Trabant killed Cuan and Ethlin). So how do you add stuff to a nav. Also, I would like to add the Blaggi Tower to locations.

Also, for the second generation main characters... Should I just have the stat growths for the good pairings for that character with a disclaimer saying I'm doing this? --'--Charged151 -' 04:39, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Simply type Template:FE4 in the search and it should take you to it. As for the second generation characters, it would be technically incomplete if we don't include every possable way it could be done, but the Teeny page does look rather off, so I am not sure.--Otherarrow 08:11, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Alm and Cellica Edit

They both address Maisen as Grandfather, I believe that would imply a familiar connection, and cousins is much more likely than any sort of half-siblings or anything else more convoluted. --Partisan 06:24, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

It is fairly simple really, they were both adopted and raised by Maisen.--Otherarrow 08:08, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Really? I did not see the bit they were adopted. I guess that's another thing the fan translation failed to specify. Partisan 15:05, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

I've uploaded one test sound file Edit

44 Lyon

However you need to have Java, VLC or a special quicktime add-on to play it :+(

Because of this I don't see any real possibility for wide use right now, although i'm gonna keep an eye on trying to find an easier way to play it.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 16:51, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Well, if my experiance with the FFWiki serves right, we can only have up to 30 second "samples" for copyright reasons. Or something. Not too sure on that, but that might be something we'd want to conferm. As for use, these take up less space than Youtude videos, which could be removed without our knowing.--Otherarrow 17:10, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

As I said they don't work without downloading some special players and/or add-ons, so we coudn't use them much yet anyway. I don't want to be annoying, but i've seen you make this mistake several times and its starting to bug me: confirm

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 17:20, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Oh, my mistake then. Thanks Semaj.--Otherarrow 17:54, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Renaimg categories Edit

I'm trying to get some help (looking into bots and things) to change some of the category names, which need minor changes, but which is a bit to tedious for a human.

I'm gonna compile a list of such categories in my sandbox for now. I 'm pretty sure you'll be fine with this, i'm just telling you so if a bot starts editing lots, you'll know why.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 21:32, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Fire Emblem Wiki policies Edit

Other the last year or so we've made quite a few rules (such as only upload images which your going to use and using PAL spellings for FE11, spelling FE6 with Fūin and not Fuuin, calling FE7 Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken and such) do you think we should compile all these rules into one page and then link to it in the welcome template? rather than reciting these rules over and over again we can just make sure everyone reads it.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 16:31, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

I guess so. Could you start the list Semaj? I don't recall exactly everything.--Otherarrow 16:43, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Just to let you know... Edit

I might not be very active here because I'll be working on the Astro Boy Wiki for a couple of months. I might come to you for pointers eventually because this is a huge undertaking.

Maelstrom and VortexEdit

Hey Otherarrow, Vortex and Maelstrom don't are the same skill... Vortex is a skill that uses Wind Magic for attack. Maelstrom is a skill that can inflict user's strength as damage at the foe, after receives an indirect attack. --Shadow Master J 20:45, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Oh? Our mistake then.--Otherarrow 20:47, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Want to add a separate section for the 12 Crusaders in the Template? Edit

Howdy! I just added in all the information for the 12 Crusaders, and I was thinking of adding a separate section for all of them, but when I looked at the template, I realised most of the detail could be easily copy and pasted, but the information listed under background is different for each section... I don't want to mess up something as important as a template if I screw it up by accident, so do you mind adding it and telling me if the background information has to be different for each one? What I'm referring to is in bold.

--'--Charged151 -' 06:10, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Since they never actually appear ingame, not even a portrait cameo in achapter opening, it would be best to just list them on the Twelve Crusader page. We can still have the FE4 Template on their pages though--Otherarrow 09:16, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Ok. By the way, is there anyway to erase history? There is something that I would like erased, but I don't know how to do it...

Also, hate to ask another thing, but I intend to do each individual Dark Warlord Page eventually, and I can't seem to get Dagda to become Drei... I've got Sara, Galzus, and Rifis, as well as Eyval and Leidrick to become Dark Warlords obviously, but even if I have Dagda killed in Chapter 24, he won't become Drei... Does he need to not be recruited in Chapter 8x, or killed really early or something? --'--Charged151 -' 16:57, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

I never played Thracia 776, so I wouldn't know. I think he has to be not recruited in 8x though. Might want to ask someone who has played it though.--Otherarrow 17:57, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks again! You are always so helpful. But how do you request something to be deleted? What I am looking for is to delete the history of certain pages... --'--Charged151 -' 18:43, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

I don't think you can delete page histories to my knowledge without deleting the whole article, but that would not be a good reason to throw out an entire article.--Otherarrow 19:00, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

I don't know whether it was you or Semajdraehs, but thank whoever got rid of the history of the two images. --'--Charged151 -' 00:18, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

It was me. I got what you ment.--Otherarrow 00:21, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Should we add the Dark Warlords to the template? Edit

Hi there! I made their individual pages, and I know I asked the same thing about the 12 Crusaders, but unlike them, you actually fight them (with six of them being in two games). We could just keep them linked to the Dark Warlords Page which is on the Template, but what do you think? --'--Charged151 -' 05:58, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

OK. There is no problem in adding them. I will get to it.--Otherarrow 09:06, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Child Hunt? Child Hunts! Edit

Hi again. At no point in FE4 and FE5 are the Child Hunts referred to in the singular form, and I would like to change the article name to Child Hunts instead of Child Hunt. However, if I do this, won't a bunch of article not be able to link to the page since changing the article name is technically only possible by making a new article (although it will have the same information and purpose obviously)? Any ideas how to go about this without screwing up a bunch of linkings to other pages?

Also, is there anyway for all the Manster links to be rerouted to a new page that has the title of Manster District? At some point, the city of Manster can be added since in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, it is integral being where Veld wields control over the Manster District, and many people descend from here... --'--Charged151 -' 02:16, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey Otherarrow. I wondered if when you have the chance you could block the vandal: Thanks :). Grunny (Talk) 07:26, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

Is Fiana from Fire Emblem 5 technically in Thracia and not the Manster District? Edit

Hi there! I was looking at, and I couldn't help but realise how south Fiana is, which seems to place it in the Kingdom of Thracia instead of the Manster District... I'm trying to make a page for the Manster District, and I was hoping to put people like Evayl in there, but if Fiana is really in Thracia, then I shouldn't do that... Makes me wonder how Leidrick got away with going into Thracian Territory to get to Fiana... --'--Charged151 -' 04:51, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Like I said, I never played Thracia 776, so I wouldn't know. Sorry.--Otherarrow 09:06, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
However, comparing maps seems to show that Fiana is in Thracia.--Otherarrow 09:08, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Tahra also seems to be in doubt, but huh... I'll just add what isn't in doubt for now. --'--Charged151 -' 21:18, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Logo design competition Edit

as you can see here, Aveyn Knight suggested a logo design contest to decide on a new logo. I'm for this idea if you are.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 20:08, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

As also seen there, I OKed it.--Otherarrow 20:12, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Archetypes Edit

I believe that there should be a new Archetype for characters that are pre-promoted, join late and aren't too useful in the game (such as Bishop Renault, Isodora, Geitz [maybe], Syrene, Rennac [maybe], Saleh [maybe]); I have only played FE7 and FE8 so could you tell me where this Archetype started in previous games (if it did?) Cheers.

Charstat Edit

Hi Otherarrow. I actually had (and still have) trouble trying to figure out how to use the Charstat template, so I ended up copy/pasting one of the existing tables. Can you please explain it to me..? --Musagetida 01:55, 9 August 2009 (UTC)Musagetida

Oh, I don't really think there was anything wrong with the explanation, I'm just not the brightest when it comes to these things. Got it now! Thank you. --Musagetida 12:25, 9 August 2009 (UTC)Musagetida

Character Template Edit

Yeah, sorry, I'll remove it momentarily. I didn't think it would categorize me as a character, I just liked the way it looked. Sorry~ has closed down (kind of) Edit

so I thought rather than let all the wiki work go to waste it would be a good idea to transfer there good images across to here (I'm just telling you this so that you'll know whats happening when i start uploading hundreds of files), they have quite a lot of rare and good images so i'll start uploading them as soon as i've saved them all.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 11:20, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

OK, what do you mean "kind of"? Also, this is not an excuse to steal their content, I will revert any of that. Images are OK I guess though.--Otherarrow 11:23, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

well the sites not been taken down yet, but the admin has placed Sorry, FEWiki has closed. For your Fire Emblem Wiki needs Fire Emblem Wikia is recommended. FEWiki will remain extant for the time being due to the information available here which isn't available there. in large letters on the main page. Its been like that for a while now.

We already have the much more info than each of there pages, but they have got lots of images we don't. So i've got all these images saved now and I will be uploading them to this wiki very soon (after lunch). I'm going to work on categorizing them and adding them to pages today, part of tommorrow and tuesday onwards (I'm away on part of Friday and all of Saturday, Sunday and probably Monday)

Alternate class namesEdit

I wouldn't be surprised if there were more, but I can only remember it happening to the Myrmidon class. Its Japanese-English names include: Myrmidon (FE6), Swordfighter (FE7, FE8), Sworder (FE9 internal), Blade (FE10). It's interesting that NOA decided to pick the FE6 name for the American release of FE7 - I wonder if they did some localising work on FE6 beforehand? Aveyn Knight 18:08, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

War Dragon Edit

Hi this may seem random, but I wrote the stub on War Dragons a few days ago. I was looking over it again for no reason and saw that you had made it better and corrected some of my mistakes, like that the dragons crushed Idenn's soul to transform her, not afterwards, thanks. However, you said that the Ice and Divine Dragons were no more moral than Fire Dragons, I meant that Ice and Divine Dragons had emotions like pity (points in case: Ninian, Nils, and Fae) which would mean that they wouldn't do things like destroy someone's soul. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that Fire Dragons had no emotions, thus they had no morals, other than to survive, whereas Ice and Divine Dragons did. [[Ragnell wielder 04:18, 21 August 2009 (UTC)Ragnell_wielder]]

It may have been just my interpretation, but Jahn, the only pure Fire Dragon in FE6, does seem to show some emotion during the chapter, he briefly questions why Hartmut spared Idenn, he mentions that the Demon Dragon gives dragonkind hope, isn't hope an emotion? Besides, when Jahn speaks of dragons not having hate, pity, and so on, he says "dragons", not "fire dragons", and due to the fact that we never meet a pure blooded ice dragon, we can not be sure. I'd say that while they feel some emotion, they do not feel all of the emotions the humans feel.--Otherarrow 09:25, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
The translation that I read made it seem like Jahn was only using logic when he talked about Hartmut not killing Idenn, so that made it seem that that was all fire dragons had, also Jahn didn't seem mad that they killed him, just saying that humans were unpredictable. [[Ragnell wielder 17:10, 21 August 2009 (UTC)User:Ragnell wielder]]
He stated before that hate was not one of the emotions dragons had. Explain this then, if he and his race are emotionless, why would the Demon Dragon's revival give them hope again and why would Jahn wait for it with that in mind? Last I checked, hope is an emotion. This is a bit of a nerdy comparison, but the Elibe dragons and how they seem to place logic over emotions reminds me of Spock from Star Trek.
Also, why do you keep saying "fire dragons"? As far as we know, the only dragons this "emotionlessness" does not apply to are the Divine Dragons. Jahn does not say fire dragons, he just says dragons.--Otherarrow 17:27, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
If Divine Dragons are the only ones with emotions, then explain Ninian and Nils to me, because aren't they Ice Dragons? Didn't they have emotions? And I think that Jahn meant that they had hope for survival, which would seem that he's only acting logically and waiting for a time that he would have a chance to win a war for survival. Because he would have no chance or "hope" to win a war without Idenn making war dragons. And when I said logic in my last post I thought of Spock too. Ragnell wielder 04:08, 22 August 2009 (UTC)User:Ragnell wielder|Ragnell wielder
You forget, Nils and Ninian were half-dragon. Their father was human, and we are never directly shown a ice dragon, so for all we know they could be similar to Jahn. Anyway, there is not enough evidence to make any concerte statement about whether the dragons have emotions, because besides the Divine Dragons and various half-dragons, only one "pure dragon" is shown and it seems what he says can be interpted differently.--Otherarrow 09:15, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
None of the half-dragons are descended from fire dragons, which may mean that the other dragons have love, while the fire dragons may only breed to perpetuate the race, which would be logical. In any case we will just need to wait for Nintendo to release a game about the Scouring.:) Ragnell wielder 22:08, 24 August 2009 (UTC)User:Ragnell wielder

Do you think its time we put the logo designs to a vote? Edit

P.S i'm thinking a poll rather than the way we do featured articles as they usually get more votes all together and we need that to get a clear winner.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 12:10, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Well, I'd like it to be a user vote kinda thing, but I guess a poll could work, but I could see how it could go wrong as well.--Otherarrow 12:15, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

How does Fire Emblem Wiki:Logo Design contest/vote look, I gave the mini description of each one so people know which one i'm talking about.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 12:34, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

It looks alright, although I'd still prefer this be something the actual users decided. It is nearly impossable to know if a poll is being spammed and if dishonest voting is going on.--Otherarrow 12:39, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

When you look at the votes pages, are you also seeing only two votes so far or is it just my computer on the fritz again?

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 15:44, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Seems to be just two votes.--Otherarrow 15:49, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

I was actually just informin the people who had contributed, so that they knew we'd moved on. (especially since most have made multiple entries so we'd better warn them in case they were thinking of making more).

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 15:58, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Oh. In that case sorry for the messages. But yeah, people can read headers....Or I think they can at least.--Otherarrow 16:00, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Some people don't accept cookies and so the messages can't be dismissed and you eventually grow to ignore them.

We need a place in the Template for Manster Castle. Edit

Yeah... There is the Manster District, and the Castle which is named Manster... If you want to have the Manster Castle on the Thracia 776 template, which you do since you put the other castles like Alster, you may want to remove the simply Manster part and somehow link that to a new Manster District Page, and add another part that reads Manster Castle.

Also, you have the name Drias on the template... Is that the correct name for Dorias, Selphina's father, or was this a mistake? My translation states his name as Dorias. --'--Charged151 -' 22:17, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

I checked, and it's Dorias. Also, I fixed the Manster mistake.--Otherarrow 22:27, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Re: SD Portrait images Edit

Not a problem. I was simply trying to add the SD portraits I noticed were missing. Do you already have all characters or should I upload the rest? --Musagetida 02:04, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

gallery/etymology order Edit

all the times i've added a gallery to a page, and thats the majoraty (sp?) of them, i've always put the gallery above the etymology because as its much more important (we don't even know if the creators give a damn about the names of the characters or just make it up on the spot). I don't mind which way it goes round really, but for easy/consistancy I think it would be better to keep it the way i've been doing it.

I've never used a wiki before and I don't know how to use one very well, so I apologize if this ends up in the wrong spot or is formated wrong.

Earlier, I edited that another part of the reason why Alvis kills Siglud is because Alvis was worried about her memories returning to her. You then edited this back saying that Alvis did not know that Diadora and Siglud were wed or that she lost her memories. What you edited back is wrong. Alvis did know that Diadora had lost her memories and that she was Siglud's wife. In a conversation he has with Manfloy, Manfloy comments on how Alvis is worried that her memories will return to her. He makes this comment after Alvis mentions how he is going to kill Siglud. Alvis then responds how he believes that they are both in love with each other and that no one will get in their way.

Also, on the archetype page,I would Imagine that Ryuto fits the Merric archetype better than Boey. Ryuto is the only real mage that joins Alm's group and he knows Excalibur right from the start. Boey does not learn Excalibur until he gains 17 levels.

And as I said before, I do not know how to use a wiki very well and I noticed something on Norma's page that I wanted to change, but couldn't figure out how to do. On Norma's page, it says in his first appearance that he joins you on chapter 4. This is incorrect in a sense. Norma can join you at the very tail end of chapter 3, but cannot participate in any of the chapter 3 battles, with the exception of gaiden ones (such as entering caves and fighting monsters)Dekay2 18:30, October 25, 2009 (UTC) Dekay2

As for the Alvis thing, I'll admit that I was wrong about the memory thing, but the conversation does not mention Diadora's marriage to Siglud, only that she had lost her memories. The reason Manfroy mentioned this after Alvis's comment on killing Siglud for the "greater good" was to taunt him with the possablity that her memories would lead her to leave him. Then again, I am no expert on the Jugdral games.
Also, Boey fits the archetype more, he is a pupil of the sage Norma and is both younger than and joins earlier than Ryuto.--Otherarrow 19:26, October 25, 2009 (UTC)
I guess you could look at it that way, but I still think he knows the history between the two. In addition to the previously mentioned conversation, when Diadora shows up right before Siglud is killed, Alvis stops the conversation between Diadora and Siglud right before he tries to mention that she is his wife. He then proceeds to haste-fully try and get Diadora back into the castle after she asks Alvis if she can spend more time with Siglud, with the dialouge suggesting he could be panicking. And given the fact that Alvis hates Siglud, wouldn't it make sense that Alvis would try and cause Siglud as much emotional pain as possible before he kills him? If he didn't know about the relationship between the two, I can't see why he would try to rub the fact that he will be marrying Diadora in his face along with trying to make Diadora hate Siglud by saying he was responsible in the death of her father.
Also, thanks for changing the Norma recruitment thing. Dekay2 20:47, October 25, 2009 (UTC)Dekay2
Wait, Alvis hates Siglud? I thought the implication was that Siglud was simply someone he was manipulating who must die for his "greater good". As for the Battle itself, the "hastefully call her back to the castle" could be explained with letting your wife watch you perform a massacre is not something I think she would find exactly pleasent. Then again, there is the possablity that he did not know until Manfroy hinted at it in the earlier conversation, the lines he speaks there seem a little ambigious over whether or not he knew beforehand (although this could be because of the less than perfect fan translation). Regardless, one could make a good case for him knowing by the time of the Battle of Barhara, but when he figured it out seems to be a bit more iffy.--Otherarrow 21:08, October 25, 2009 (UTC)
That seems plausibly, but when it comes to interpreting text in FE4, one sentence can occasionally imply so much and so many things. Like how for example in the chapter 5 Beowolf x Lachesis conversation, some people interpret that Beowolf is talking about Lachesis feelings for Eltshan, while others interpret as her feelings for Fin given the context of FE5's story and as to why Lachesis would go to Lenster. As for Alvis hating Siglud, he may not hate him per-say, but he definitely does not like him. When Alvis is first introduced, he talks about how Siglud doesn't impress him, and implies it in a way that hints at him disliking him along with it possibly hinting at a jealousy towards him. If you have Celice fight Alvis in Gen 2, then he says something along the same lines, going as far as to call Siglud pathetic, further implying his dislike of him, if not hatred of him. It can be pretty hard to interpret Alvis's emotions at times though, given how tragic and sad his life is, especially in Gen 2. And this can also be coming from how I interpret FE4's story. Dekay2 22:16, October 25, 2009 (UTC)Dekay2

Oh and one last thing. I think I may have been wrong about the Norma recruitment thing. It says on an official Fire Emblem website (it's part of the japanese nintendo website) That he is recruitable in chapter 3. I tried doing so and wasn't able to figure out how to do so, I don't know if that should be fixed or not. Given how hidden Norma's recruitment is, along with the fact that during chapter 4 you can still find him in the same spot where you meet him in the beginning of chapter 2, I don't know if it should be changed or what. Dekay2 03:46, October 27, 2009 (UTC) Dekay2

I am unsure whether or not Judah can't always block attacks from 5 spaces away (I'll look into it), but I know you can hurt him with attacks that are within a range of 4 or less. His ability just randomly stops any type of attack, including the triangle attack. Not sure if he blocks Alm and Celica's support attack though.Dekay2 15:54, November 4, 2009 (UTC)Dekay2

Back to TearRing Saga Edit

if you remember when the TearRing Saga pages were created, i disagreed with their creation, but i eventually gave in and went with your decision to keep them as long as they were segregated from the rest of the wiki. To be frankly honest, i only went along with this because I thought we woudn't have that many. we have over 60 now and i'm reinstating my belief that we should move these pages to a seperate wiki. It won't be as hard as it sounds, we can use the import/export feature and we could get a couple of helpers to help us with the move. We can both be admins on the new wiki, it will just be a better way of doing it.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 16:41, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Eh. I still disagree. The games, as I see it anyways, are really similar to at least the NES/SNES era, and do contain some minor references. Also, who would contribute to this new Wiki? We have a small number of TrS contributors as it is, and the games seem pretty obscure. My opinions aside, I don't see any harm in having them. It is not like that topic has hijacked the Wiki (actually, TrS info on the wiki is still pretty low), and it is not like the wiki has a page limit to it.--Otherarrow 21:38, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

The point is that this is a fire emblem wiki, not a TRS wiki, i mean advance wars is very similar aswel, but we don't have have a page of every character and unit from that? As for the ediots those that were willing to edit the pages here should be just as willing (if not more) to edit them at a different wiki. The problem I have with these pages is that they are affecting the wiki, the wanted pages, the stubs the templates. its affecting everything. Either way I think since we both disagree we should put this to a community vote.

(sorry bout the interuption had a omputer problem)

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 21:15, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

Problem is, the Nintendo Wars series has a more noticeable difference from FE, generic units, nonfinal death, more modern setting, and so on, while TRS, at least from what little info I can gather on it, is only a few name changes away from a FE game.
As for how they are "affecting" the wiki, please explain? I don't understand what you mean by affecting the wanted pages, and you already reverted the one instant that the TRS stuff came on any of the FE templates. Aside from that, most of the templates being "affected" is because of your insistence that they be completely segregated which means we have to make new, and in most cases redundant, templates for them. As for affecting "everything", that is far off. TRS stuff is still one of our weakest areas, with the bulk of the character articles being more or less "X is a character in Tear Ring Saga" (just like most of the Gaiden articles, our other weakest area...)
I mean, yeah, if we do decide to send them off to their own wiki, then we'd have mainly paper thin articles like those plus whatever Aveyn Knight happens to work on, if he even decides to contribute there that is. Not to mention it'd be harder to connect the cross references and related classes. I don't see this as a good idea. I do see a community vote/discussion as a good idea however. (divided into chunks for less confusing reading. More on my behalf if anything)--Otherarrow 21:31, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

OK, then i'll make a topic in the forum and link it in the site notice.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 10:39, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

As the vote has shown 3-2 in moving the pages favour, should I begin moving the TearRing Saga pages, or would you prefer it if i waited a bit longer to see if anyone else has a view.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 16:44, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Wait a a day or two more, just in case, than move if things have not changed. Also, if we do move, are we going to at least include a single page for the series or something, kinda like the FFWiki has for Kingdom Hearts?--Otherarrow 21:42, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

I intended to leave a page on the series as a whole and one for each game, so kinda like the smash bros pages we have now.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 00:26, December 11, 2009 (UTC)

Oks. that will do I guess. Should we mention some of the references on these pages as well? (I think there are at least a few that made it through. I know for sure Naga Dragon did, but that is an unused class.)--Otherarrow 00:32, December 11, 2009 (UTC)

ummm... could you rephrase that i don't quite understand what you mean.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 21:06, December 11, 2009 (UTC)

I mean, there seems to be a few references to FE in TRS (such as the Naga Dragon class, Miradona, whose name and role as a Earth Deity is similar to Mila, the Emiyu/Manakete connection, and probably a few others that I don't know). Should we mention such things on the pages on this Wiki?--Otherarrow 21:44, December 11, 2009 (UTC)

we'll put a note (and maybe a link to the TRS wiki) in the trivia section of the relevant Pages.

Nice Edit

Nice new logo. I know I've been inactive for a long time but after a failure at my other project, I thought it would be nice to come back and help out some more... minus all my silly ideas and proposals. I plan to get my number three position back.

Fire emblem: Monshou no Nazo character template boxesEdit

Hm, I see that there are very few stats for these characters, so I decided to add in a few, almost forgetting about WLvl and Mgc (I know what to do about that, don't worry). So I thought of making a few slight changes to the charstat template.

Starting Class Level HP Str Skill Spd Lck Wlv Def Res Move

This should take care of Monshou no Nazo and Ankoku no Ryu to Hikari no Tsurugi characters; the only problem is that I don't know if you know of any other plans on what to do with the FE1&3 Stats >.>.The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cloudofdarkness (talk • contribs).

You forgot the starting items. Besides that, looks good.--Otherarrow 09:45, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

Silencer Edit

I know that Lethality and Silencer are the same skill but why shouldn't it say that the skill is also known as Silencer? I just wanted that to remain on the page. Mutzaki 15:57, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Well, the Lethality pages itself notes it is called Silencer. I'm sorry, but wouldn't listing the same skill under two different names on the same page just be a bit redundant?--Otherarrow 16:53, December 26, 2009 (UTC)
Maybe but I suppose it's not that big of a deal anyway. Mutzaki 17:20, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Sorry to butt in but I made a small change to the silencer disambiguation page. hopefully this clears some things up.

A question, if I may. Edit

I own some of the Fire Emblem games (3, 4, and 6-8) on an emulator, not for the actual console they're released on. Will there be any problems if I use data from my emulated 3/4/6? I was just wondering about that. King Nothing

Use data? I am not sure what you mean. If you mean like stats and such, they should be the same so it doesn't matter.--Otherarrow 09:31, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

By data, I meant names and such -- things that different people would translate differently. King Nothing

Nanna and Fin relationship Edit

In those characters pages you talk about how FE5 implies a relation between the two of them, but there is no such thing in the game. The only things close to this are Nanna calling Fin "father" and enemies calling Nanna "Fin's daughter", but the same things are seen with Mareeta and Eyvel. On the contrary, Fin is stated to be cold with women and at some point talk like if he had to protect Nanna because someone asked him to, not because he care for her. I didn't change it because it would be undone so I just left a message here.

If I recall, for a bit the official site did say that Nanna was Fin's daughter, and there is nothing to actually disprove that Fin is Nanna's parent, other than an alternate interpretation of his lines. As for his coldness, if your lover wandered off into a desert and was never seen again, you'd be totally warm and ready towards other women?--Otherarrow 10:18, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

Not only it was Beowulf listed as Nanna's father, but Fin was cold toward Lachesis as well.

Hmm? How can he be cold towards her if, in FE4, they never actually speak to one another. Most of the relation is implied in Thracia 776, and that is how it is right now. The articles all say that this is implied, because that is all it is. Explain me one thing though, if Fin was not looking for Rackesis, than what was he doing missing for three years? The ending implied he was in the Yied Desert, which is where Rackesis went missing.--Otherarrow 10:56, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

Because perhaps they talked when she was a war refugee? And no relation is implied, it just started because of that father thing and the beosword we don't know anything about. And a mistranslation of FE4-script. For the desert thing, not only Leaf was supposed to seek Lachesis (but he has a lot of work so he can just send his most trusted man) but Fin was taking care of Nanna for her. Two reasons good enough to go look for someone.

Leaf was meant to seek Rackesis? I don't recall ever hearing anything about that. Fin taking care of Nanna is a good reason sure, but why would Fin be taking care of the daughter of someone he has no relation to anyway? (this makes more sense in FE4, since he is the only one there besides Leaf, but not in FE5, where Evayl is there and taking care of Mareeta in such a way) Why would he, a important general, spend three years in the Yied Desert searching for someone who he has no relation towards if he could just send a search party? As for the "no relation is implied", then why do a large number of players see a relation implied? If it were not at least implied, people would have no reason to claim this, and it would have likely never came up on their pages.
Felgus's ending implies he may be Beowolf's son. He can use the Beosword. Who else can use the Beosword? Delmud. It doesn't take a expert to find some sort of connection there.
Also, I do not know what you mean by "mistranslation of FE4". The translation does have it's flaws, but overall, most of the "gist of it" is there and the only "missing" dialogue is the untranslated ending, and one would think the fandom would notice eventually if there was other missing dialogue.--Otherarrow 11:48, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

The talk event between Beowulf and Lachesis was at first incorrectly translated sounding like Lachesis was cheating on Beowulf when it was just a reference to Lachesis' love for Eltshan (and a very large group of people didn't knew/don't know of the revision). And were is it said that the Beosword is only usable by Beowulf's children or only sons? And both are mercenaries whereas Nanna is a paladin. For Leaf, he swore to Nanna that he'll look for Lachesis in FE5's ending. And Lachesis was hiding in Fin's mansion when she gone to lenster after giving birth to Nanna.

I see what you mean by the mistranslation, that makes sense.
I dunno. If you have a sword named after someone, only two units in the game can use it, one of which is already implied to be that person's son, wouldn't the fact that the other can use it imply this as well? Also, Delmud and Felgus are Free/Forest Knights, not Mercenaries.
Which brings another point, why hide in the mansion of someone you have never met? That implies at least some form of connection between them I think, if she is willing to risk herself and her child in his care.
Fair enough about the ending, but this again leads to "Why Fin, an important general, and why alone?" The ending states he vanished for three years and some people saw him in Yied, but if he was sent by Leaf, then why is the ending phrased this way?--Otherarrow 12:11, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry about the free knight thing... I mixed up because both free knight and mercenary can means the same things in my native language but I thought of the free knight class while saying mercenary. And it's not about the parentage of Fergus/Delmud, but just the fact that we don't know the reason of the Beosword's limitation, while it may be related on Beowulf, we don't know if the gender of the person is important (we have female-only weapons, so why not a male-only one?). Lachesis and Fin met at least once since they were war-comrade. Pretty much everyone met everyone in the army. So you need to go look for your nephew in Lenster, and you know someone here, why not just ask asylum (and Beowulf ask Lachesis to go help Fin taking care of Leaf). For the ending, perhaps he wanted to find her to apologize for something (like I previously stated, he was cold toward Lachesis), and "vanishing" is quite popular in FE's endings. Look at Sara, why "disappeared" if she just stayed under Leaf's protection? (And before coming with the "legend part" of Sara's ending, Fin's says that its Yield trip is just rumors)

That is a good point, but that is just one interptation, one that is just as hard to prove in my opinon. Also, you never provided any proof Fin was cold to her. He does not have any dialouge in the first generation with her or any other woman, all of his dialogue is either with Cuan or Siglud. As for the ending, good point, but Fin's is notable since he comes back and there is a hint as to where he went.--Otherarrow 13:00, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

It's in a talk event between Selphina and Fin in FE5. "Selphina: "You seem to be more interested in Glade than me, Sir Finn. You haven't changed at all... You were always cold towards women."

Finn: "Cold? I never intended to be..."

Selphina: "Then why did you leave Lady Lachesis? You knew how sad she was..."" => Perhaps the only thing about a relationship between the two of them (still the "sad" part can be explained by the fact she lost everything and he could have tell her to gtfo when she just sought company ), but nothing about a link between Nanna and Fin (which is my point in the first place)

Excuse me but it would seem you've gotten a little sidetracked. This discussion is about whether or not it is implied that Nanna and Finn are related, not about whether they are or not. While some evidence may point to Finn and Nanna not being related, enough "hints" are there to justify that it is implied, not that it is for certain. Seeing as some fans think that this relation exists, there is obviously an implication. I would tend to think that the ideal solution would be to make it clearer that these two characters' blood relation as well the romantic relation between Finn and Rackesis are only implied and not confirmed. I will do so now but if there are any objections, go ahead and change the concerned pages back as they were before.
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-16:58, January 12, 2010 (UTC)

Hint (if they exist) that are pretty much irrelevent since one year after FE5's commercialisation Nanna was listed as Beowulf daughter (Dated from March 2000). And on a side note there are fans thinking that Olwen and Reinhart have tordo blood but there nothing (really nothing) to even back that theory so there are hint somewhere? . Moreover I recall someone (was it VincentASM?) stating that the identity of Nanna's father was left to speculation because some fans didn't liked Beowulf and raged. Fan really are a proof.

Once again, if some fans managed to spawn a misconception about Nanna and Finn's relation (assuming that they are misconceptions still), this could be accepted as hinting to an extent. Also, it would be appreciated if you'd sign your name after every message to avoid confusion. Discuss these hints/implications further with Otherarrow seeing as I do not know much (or anything) about Nanna and Finn. Just bear in mind what you are really discussing.

If, say, twenty years were to go by in The Sacred Stones as a sequel (as you can probably tell, I am writing a fan fiction), would Myrhh still be a little girl, or a woman?

OK, one, why are you using the Talk Template? I could have sworn me and Semaj agreed that we won't be having any of that. And two, in twenty years....I'd still say a girl.--Otherarrow 09:32, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Well, they take up a lot of space, it looks very out of place if one person is using them, and there is the fact that users, like yourself, will spend more time tinkering with them than contributing to the Wiki.--Otherarrow 13:13, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

I'll be honest, I have never seen you edit anything that wasn't your own userpage. You keep uploading user image after user image, and it is clogging up the recent changes and upload logs. I don't know what they let you get away with on other wikis,(although other wikis I have visited have a limit on user images) but we (or at least, I) don't want people clogging up the recent changes with user page edits and the like instead of actual contributions.--Otherarrow 09:42, January 21, 2010 (UTC)
