You seem to have a better grasp of the charstat template than me. Edit

could you create a template just like the plain one we have now, but with 'str/mag' changed to 'str' and a 'mag' row insterted underneath. I can then use this for all the FE4/FE5 characters where str/mag just doesn't look good because there are two numbers.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 13:32, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

I want to do one better, but I have a question. Should this be for both games, or just one? The reason I ask is because FE5 has Constitution (AKA Build), while FE4 doesn't.--Otherarrow 14:07, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

Well personally, I only wanted this slight alteration so I can make the changes quickly (it should only take me a few seconds to make the change to each page), but I guess we'll have to get the total change done eventually anyway. So i'd say two seperate templates one for FE4 and one for FE5.

P.S you may want to archive your talk page your up to over 90 topics.

--Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 14:15, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

FE4 template done. I will try to put this one in before I work on the FE5 one.--Otherarrow 15:20, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

How do you access the templates, and something is missing. Edit

Hi. Just curious, how do you access the templates to edit them? I can't seem to find any of them... The template I am trying to access is the FE4 one by the way.

Also, Voltz, an enemy character from Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu, is not in the template, but he has a character page.

Thanks in advance!

PS. How do you change the signiture to bring up the talk page icon like you have it? I thought I did that already, but it has been a while.

--'--Charged151 -' 14:09, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

See that searchbar? It might be at differing places depending on your skin. Just type in Template:Whatevertemplate and edit from there.--Otherarrow 14:50, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Hello. Edit

Thanks for the welcome. I probably won't be of much help, since I only have Sacred Stones, but I'm good with fixing up grammar.

I edited the Summoner page; I apologize if I got a bit longwinded, in which case I'll try to crop down the information.

Hmph. Edit

I tried to give the Class page a makeover...I think my work's result is passable.

Could you give me your opinion? Because I think that, with maybe a picture or two and some stuff that didn't come to my mind, it could have the stub and clean-up notices removed.

Thanks.

Aenir/Nergal Edit

I never heard that it was a mistranslation of Aenir. Common theory is that he was questioning his need for Quientessance and opening the Dragon's Gate, as the game implies the darkness made him forget

Have you played the Japanese version? I play both the Japanese and English, and the US translation seems off, since Aegir is Quientessacne in the JP version, and its possible that the translators mut Quientessance instead of Aenir. Aenir sounds simular to Aegir, which can blow people off.The preceding unsigned comment was added by Muted (talk • contribs).

Well, I think we need something more concrete than "Well, I think they might have maybe got them mixed up". If someone who knows Japanese can translate the Japanese version of the scene, that would be great.--Otherarrow 20:33, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
  • Muted again here, I do know how to read JP, but... I have no knowledge to use text editors. Its wierd how i can spot that, while the US translators made it very wierd. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Muted (talk • contribs).
It's definitely a mistranslation. He clearly says Ae...r in his death quote. Although you can't tell whether it's either Aenir or Aegir in English, you can in Japanese since Aenir's 2nd symbol is an E, while Aegir has a continuation line (-). In Nergal's line, you see an E and not a -, meaning it should be Aenir. Aveyn Knight 20:25, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
OK, so it is. Sorry for the doubting, just want to make sure. Thanks, both of you.--Otherarrow 21:17, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

About the Draug page Edit

Hi, I'm trying to add the katakana spellings of character names to their articles, since with all of the alternate spellings running around (especially for the Japan-only games), I think having the original spellings on this site would improve it. However, I found that the Draug / Dohga page is locked to prevent editing. Is it possible that you could add in this information yourself? Sir Ilpalazzo 05:49, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Clarification Edit

I just wanted to clarify about the captions portaining to images from the FE TCG.

Ok, here's what I managed to squeeze in the comment box -

TCG 5&6 cover FE3 b1&2 respectively, and she appears differently due to class, but listing it as such isn't accurate due to chars like Shiida having 2 cards in the same set with the same class.

- But here's what I meant to say, since I have enough room here...

Is that in different sets, like Set 5 & 6, characters like Shiida have cards of the same class - as they appear in the same class twice, in Book 1 and Book 2. Then Shiida has another card for when she promotes in Book 2, if she does, but as Maria does not come in as a first tier in Book 2, there's no need to divide it into 'as a cleric' and 'as a bishop' - she simply appears in Book 1 as a cleric and Book 2 as a bishop and in those respecitve sets of the TCG, 5 & 6. --Hasofcd 05:05, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Most characters have at least two cards, one for the first class, one for the second class. Some have a third card, for whatever reason, maybe a different set (which would be Book 2 I supposs) and/or different artist, etc. In Maria's case, those two cards are not "Book 1" and "Book 2", that is just a coincidence, but her first class and her second class.
EDIT: Palla and the other Whitewings, like Maria, have a single card in the second set each. It is them as Dracoknights (their armor resembles Minerva's, who starts as one.) They do not start in that class in Monsho no Nazo. Shiida has two in that set. Both Dracoknights. She starts as a Pegasus Knight. There are promoted Radd and Caeser in that set, and they didn't make it to "Book 2". Understand?--Otherarrow 12:36, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Ah, you're right. Got it.--Hasofcd 13:06, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

...Speculation? Edit

So why is speculation allowed on every other page but Maria's? It's just trivia. In Heather's trivia, both of the bullets are speculation - we don't know that it was acutally Heather that conned Gatrice or was supposed to be in Path of Radiance, and Nagi's page is purely built on speculation! Speculation in Shadow Dragon's case is especially needed due to the fact that hardly anything is explained or elaborated upon. And this speculation is harmless, it's just trivia.

That name is highly implied due to that the game is newer than POR & RD with Elincia, she's in the royal family, and she comes from that House. It's just trivia, I'm not saying it's right, but that's what speculation is, and it seems to be allowed everywhere else. Why isn't it allowed here? Hasofcd 18:03, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Well, I'll admit, Heather's is harder to take than most, but it is possible she was inspired that that passing reference, like it is possible that Shanam was inspired by a brief appearance by a Shanan imposter. Nagi is pretty mysterious, and there are some implied explanations for her. There are also theories which other people claim are plausible. I personally think this needs clarification which is right and why the other is incorrect, as a lot of people don't seem to understand, and I am sick of talking about it. As for Maria and House Medon, I would advise against speculating on last names, else we'd get tons of people trying to apply the names of noble houses as the last names of their lords, like Hector Ostia or something like that. Yes, it is true some characters follow that naming pattern (Elincia and Celice come to mind), but just as many don't (Sanaki and Leaf, for example).--Otherarrow 18:24, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Ah, right. I had forgotten about Sanaki, and now that you mention it, Jill's last name has nothing to do with 'Talrega', either... I understand, thanks. Hasofcd 04:55, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

Boxes Edit

Can the growth rate box for FE9/10 be used for Shadow Dragon? And do we have any other growth rate boxes for the other games?

Michalis Edit

I read even though he has support data, people who have played the game say he dies like always even having a new near death portrait. Whether or not he's recruitable on the Hardest difficulty or is playable in a downloadable mission is unknown.

I figured as much. Him having ending data is rather odd though. Maybe they planned for him to be spared somehow? Oh well. I want to see his new portraits though.--Otherarrow 00:03, July 16, 2010 (UTC)
I just heard he is playable in the first mission. Hardin's mission isn't out yet which explains why he has no character data.

Book 2 Deaths Edit

To answer your question, Boah, Lorenz and Hardin still die. I found it odd as Nintendo brought back every member of the Sable Knights and Marth was easily able to revive and get rid of the scars of an Imhullu wounded Michalis, yet he doesn't do the same for Lorenz or Hardin.

FE12 pics Edit

If all that was changed from FE11 was the color, do we upload that as a different picture entirely or as an updated version of the FE11 pic? Because in truth there is still a difference in the pictures even if it was only the color.

And great job on the charstat boxes! Hasofcd 13:32, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

I didn't do the FE11/12 boxes. As for "the only change is the color" then I'd say either don't worry about it or upload over it. However, if you can see any other change between portraits (eyes are a common one) then upload a new one.--Otherarrow 13:37, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
Ah. Do you know who did? Anyway, yeah, the change is usually in the eyes or hair, or like something miniscule(like Elice's, how she is centered by like 1 degree more). Here's a good comparison between the pictures. [1]
That comparison is good showing of what I mean. Definitely upload the new portraits for the first (new character), second (new portrait), and third (changed portrait), but I'll let you decide if you want to upload the portraits that go under the fourth (which would be color fixing I guess).--Otherarrow 17:23, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
I'd add the third and fourth portraits over the Shadow Dragon ones, personally. I believe we have all the first and second portrait sets up, I think. Kelsper 17:30, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
I think all of the 3rd ones should be separate, as there is a small change, but all the 4th ones can be uploaded over the SD ones. --Hasofcd 18:02, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
That seems okay to me. Kelsper 18:12, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

Tania vs. Tiena Edit

The main heroine in the Hasha manga is named Tiena. From what I gather the word "Tania" is used in two different ways in the Fire Emblem universe. One is a noble house in RnK and FnT. The other is something for something else that I don't know. Thanks for the your help, though! =)

Also, thanks for tagging pages where I should have but didn't. I'm not familiar with all of the tags so sometimes I miss some.

--Aivass Remurias 16:26, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

Nicely put. I appreciate the sincerity. --Aivass Remurias 17:35, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

FE5 templates Edit

Just wondering, would it be all right for me to create charstat and chargrowth templates for Thracia 776? It has some unique stats (Build and Movement) as growth rates, meaning none of the current templates from other series can be used for it.

As for the reason to make a charstat template as well, it's because FE5 stats don't include Resistance (since that's calculated by the Magic stat) even though it has Constitution and a Strength/Magic split, which means not many of the other Charstat templates can be used for it either. Also, I think the default template that's being used right now for FE5 characters isn't that useful for showing all the stats and/or items. Even with a possible remake (which may remove these differences), I still think the SNES version deserves its own templates. Thoughts? --Almanac 17:32, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

Alright. Go ahead I guess. I ment to do a FE5, but I never got around to it due to my lack of interest in FE5.--Otherarrow 18:52, August 28, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! --Almanac 20:35, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

U.C Edit

Archetypes are subjective, just because one person thinks X is a Y, another may disagree. (For example, most people claim Elincia is an Est. I don't believe this. Some people claim Mia is a Nabarl, I don't see it. And so on.)--Otherarrow 23:55, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

Baron Joshua's Question Edit

I understand that you removed the brief summery that I had provided for Frelia.

Name: Frelia

Full Name: Kingdom of Frelia

Formal: Frelian, Frelians

Government Type: Absolute Monarchy

I was wondering why? I have done the same for Grado, Jehanna, and Carcino. I know it does not have to do with the Formal: Frelian, Frelians since the people of Frelia are refered to as Frelians in the Game. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Baron Joshua (talk • contribs).

I removed that bit from all those pages because it, in my opinion, served no purpose and was just sorta stuck there at the end of the article for no reason. I'm not sure where you got your info anyway. Do you know for sure that Frelia is absolutely an absolute monarchy?--Otherarrow 23:56, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

I see, and apologize. I thought I had put a ? mark after Absolute Monarchy. As I had done with Formal: Carcinoan?,Carcinoans?. I was not as sure as I was with Carcino's Government Type. Carcino is a Republic of Citys or States or Both (it is not clear). The People elect senators who have to be at least a certian age wich is were the Genocratic part of my discription came from. If you like I could put the Summery at the Start of the Artical instead of the End and add a First Apears: In Chapter # of Fire Emblem: .... Baron Joshua 00:16, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

I don't understand what you mean. You don't need to put that sorta thing anywhere? I mean, the article does say what these countries are already, yes?--Otherarrow 00:20, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

You have a good point. I had started doing the summarys only becouse I wonted something to post. I felt I could use my knowlege of Government types and the Game (Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones) to write a summary of the different countries in the. I new more about Carcino then the other counties so I started there. I was even tempted to put "Note: The Merchantile part of Carcino's full name may derrive from the economic theory of Merchantilism. Acording to Merchantilism there is only a certian amount of Wealth in the World and countries should try to get as much of it as posible by Exporting more then they Import...." But I realized that would be usles information. At the Time I only had Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones and felt I should at least do something really good. It seemed like a good idea at the time. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Baron Joshua (talk • contribs).

Baron Joshua's Question(s) Edit

I see you have gone into my other edits and revisions, you still have yet to say why.The preceding unsigned comment was added by Baron Joshua (talk • contribs).

Sorry, I did not see it there. I have written you on the above artical Baron Joshua 00:18, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

Concerning the Triangle Attack Quotes of Seisen no Keifu. Edit

Hi. I have not changed anything for a while, but I noticed a few things about Seisen no Keifu's Triangle Attacks.

1. It looks to me that the leader of the trio of the triangle attacks (Vampa and Meng) are always the ones to initiate the triangle attacks, so I'm not sure if there are even quotes for the other members.

2. This is actually pretty wierd... Meng does not seem to have a special quote for her triangle attack... It is just, "Sorry, but you're gonna die!" That is what she says when she attacks normally. I guess this may have been an oversight issue, and even after disengaging my translation patch, there is no difference in the quote she says.

I was thinking about saying that only the leaders initiate the triangle attacks in the members' pages, as well as have a possible error section in Meng's page (as well as the Fire Emblem Plot Holes, Goofs and Unexplained Events...) but what do you think?

P.S. Did someone delete everything in the Fire Emblem Plot Holes, Goofs and Unexplained Events section earlier? I found it completely blank not too long ago...

--'--Charged151 - any replies to my Talk page -' 23:39, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

What is the error about Meng? Is it the second point? I guess you could just point out that only the trio leader initiates it.--Otherarrow 23:43, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

My point is that Vampa has a special quote for her triangle attack... And everyone else as far as I know. However, Meng's quote is the same regardless of whether she triangle attacks or not. I even took off my translation patch and tested this in the original Japanese, and the same characters were used for both her regular attack and the triangle attack. That seems like an error to me when Vampa (and every other Fire Emblem User to date if I remember correctly) has a special quote. However, if you see no error with this, then it isn't worth mentioning, or if you don't think it is an error, than perhaps it should be mentioned as an "oddity". --'--Charged151 - any replies to my Talk page -' 23:49, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

I think in this case we can just say "Unlike Vampa, the other enemy unit who can initiate a triangle attack, Meng does not have a special battle quote" or something like that. No need for it's own section or anything.--Otherarrow 23:51, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

Alright then, I will add in what is necessary.

New Akaneia Saga / Download Chapters Edit

How do you want the stuff from the New Akaneia Saga / the downloadable chapter listed? I'm voting for something like the Book 1 and Book 2 differences, as it's kinda confusing to have two sets of stats in one place. I'm voting for a new section like: ===[[Fire Emblem: Shin Monshō no Nazo ~Hikari to Kage no Eiyū~]] (New Akaneia Saga)===. --Hasofcd 06:24, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

  • Well, maybe like how we do Book 1/Book 2 for the Monsho no Nazo sections? Have it under Shin Monsho no Nazo/Akaneia Saga (Not sure which) and have bold text serve as a header for where the stats come from?--Otherarrow 06:28, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
  • EDIT: As for the Downloadable chapters, I guess we can have those under the Shin Monsho no Nazo stats in the same way.--Otherarrow 06:28, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
Gotcha. --Hasofcd 06:53, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

in chapter 20x marth finally finds the location of the league of assasin's that were trying to kill him along with the leader eremiya, its a fog of war map and she has meteor, and when the map is later finished she is killed by a spectral gharnef, probably because she failed.{{Bowserclass}}My alligance lies with no army. 17:43, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

Galleries Edit

Are the galleries supposed to be vertical now? It seems really odd. Hasofcd 20:16, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

I have no clue. If it helps, the galleries are still horizontal for me, and I use the Monobook skin. I recommend it.--Otherarrow 20:22, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

Newbie Edit

Hey, i just added myself to this wikia, and i dont know much about it, but i do know alot about FE. I was wondering how i get involved with the other users on the wikia? it seems as though you are buysy, but i would really appretiate a reply, since you seem to be on topof things around here. Also, i made a couple of edits, and i was wondering if you could give me some feed back on them? thanks, Klepto860"stealth is what makes our body's strong. over powering strength makes our minds week" 22:15, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

How do you become a featured user?--Black Dragon Laguz 19:52, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

Blocked for "Spam"Edit

Hi there Otherarrow, I was editing a while back when I was suddenly blocked by this user named Misiek95 ([[2]]). You see, I was adding the Japanese names of the Sacred Stones characters to their appropriate pages, when this happened due to 'spam'.

This is the message I received:

Your user name or IP address has been blocked.

  • The block was made by Misiek95.
  • Reason given: spam

Oh and right now, from time to time, I can and cannot edit pages and I honestly have no idea why. I have done much for this wiki and I hope you can help me with this matter (I don't have many rights on Wikia, but I do love this wiki and just can't bear to abandon it over this blocking issue). Thank you very much. ^^ --LughRules! 15:25, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

My page coding Edit

My page coding is messed up. I was editing it, and it put two sections that I added into one section. I was trying to fix it, but when I was editing it, it didn't show the two sections that merged. Can you see what's wrong with the coding?--Black Dragon Laguz 20:32, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

I fixed what I could, but it seems the "Ike" header won't work until you actually write something under it.--Otherarrow 21:00, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

Concerning Death Quotes: Edit

Hi there. I was putting in the Death Quotes from Ishtar, and I realized that she doesn't "die" when defeated in Chapter 8 and 10... Still, I have listed what she says when she is defeated. So, should I keep the "perma-Death Quotes" under the Death Quotes section, or should I move them to a section called "defeat quotes" or something? --'--Charged151 - any replies to my Talk page -' 01:55, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

Need to know this for other characters, like Arione...

I always use "defeat quotes".--Otherarrow 00:39, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, that makes sense. Thank you. --'--Charged151 - any replies to my Talk page -' 01:55, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, thanks. I thought it might be something that makes userboxes.--Black Dragon Laguz 16:13, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

BSFE imagesEdit

If you're interested, I've uploaded higher quality versions of the BSFE CGs here. I'm busy working on some other things, so I won't be able to add them myself (that and I experienced a minor disaster trying to update the TheEscape CG). Just a tip: It might be quicker to convert them to PNGs after saving, so you can overwrite the existing images on the wiki. Aveyn Knight 15:38, November 1, 2010 (UTC)

Due to the cache thing being well, very odd, I think it might actually be easier to just upload them as they are, instead of having to struggle with the cache. Some of the files are already jpgs though, so this does bring me back to the original problem. Oh well. Thanks a whole lot for the images though.--Otherarrow 16:38, November 1, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I didn't forsee it being such a problem, although I had issues with it myself. Related to the above, I've now added a dozen higher quality FE8 images towards the bottom of this page (the section beginning with Artur). I should note that Cormag, Natasha and Tana have a small watermark added to them; if you want to include them and have any issues with the watermark, give me a shout so I can work something out. I also have a bunch of Akaneia images, which I can send to you as a zip file later. Aveyn Knight 16:40, November 1, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, the images are from the 20th anniversary book. Or more accurately, they're from a pdf sample page that the publisher put up (I have the book itself, but there's no way you can scan the physical book to get any good images). I feel kind of bad for ripping the images like this, but it's the only way we're going to get any clear images and at least it's not for a bad cause. The Akaneia images include good quality images of TCG Astram, Midia and Lang, the Shadow Dragon concept artwork of Horace, as well as some random FE1 and FE3 artworks. As for the three FE8 artworks, I'll upload a different version of Natasha and Tana onto the Wiki soon, but I don't think I kept the original file of the Cormag rip (the one I have is 3/4 complete), so that one might take a bit longer. Aveyn Knight 20:12, November 2, 2010 (UTC)

You can get the Akaneia images here. 1/3 at the end indicates it's from FE1/3. The four CGs are all from FE12. The rest should be easy to guess. I also have some images of the "legendary" weapons from FE11/12, which I'll probably add myself. Parthia is going to be almost impossible to extract though, due to the way it's layered : / Aveyn Knight 21:20, November 2, 2010 (UTC)

Hey an Affiliation? Edit

Hi my name is Kevin! On youtube i go by KevinJ2010. Now i have an idea that both of us can benefit from.

Now i am a Let's Player, which means i make Let's plays. A let's play is essentially a walkthrough with a lot of extra work put in. AND live commentary! Which often makes it enjoyable for people to watch!

Now a while back i did a Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones LP and frankly i think i did a great job of explaining the game. I was a tad worse than i am now but i am still proud of it. Now i know that i have stopped the project for a bit, as it started to burden me to play the game. Don't get me wrong i LOVE the fire emblem series, i just got bored with forcing myself to play it. plus the commentary starting to get repetitive. I stopped around Chapter 15.

Now feel free to watch some of these here videos!

LINK REMOVED

As you can see through the class bios, i went VERY in depth and much more than your average let's play of a Fire Emblem game.

I was thinking maybe you could embed the videos around the site! Not only will it will draw in viewers, AND make your articles a little more entertaining. I will also leave links to your site on my videos which would look AWESOME!

Regardless, please let me know if you are interested in this trade off. Thank you!The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.150.218.181 (talk).

Thanks, but no thanks. We have no real need for Youtube videos here on the Fire Emblem Wiki. We do not host Let's Plays in the mainspace of this site, and have no intention of doing so. While I am sure your unfinished Let's Play is very nice, I will not allow you to use the Fire Emblem Wiki to advertise it.--Otherarrow 09:44, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

Featured article of the month Edit

This month's featured article should be changed now, shouldn't it? Black Dragon Laguz 02:12, November 20, 2010 (UTC)

Indeed it should. Another user promised he would take care of it, but it seems he can't deliver.--Otherarrow 10:34, November 20, 2010 (UTC)
I could change it if it hasn't been changed yet. Black Dragon Laguz 01:28, November 21, 2010 (UTC)
I already changed it for the month. Unless you were willing to do so regularly? That would be nice.--Otherarrow 01:37, November 21, 2010 (UTC)

Seisen no KeifuEdit

Are we considering this http://www.serenesforest.net/general/designer4_2.html to be cannon? If so then there are many articles relevant to FE 4 that need to be revised such as the holy weapons, Loptous, Naga, Holstey, and several others. Anyway, my main question is can one use the information from that source as official information? The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mamkute (talk • contribs).

That depends on the source I guess. If they are from the guidebooks and official interviews, then yes, they are canon! If they are from Kaga's dream scenarios, then that is a little iffy, since he admitted that they were his planned idea, but shouldn't be taken seriously concerning the final product. Honestly, the reason I haven't included most of that info already is because the source is untrustworthy. (From what I can tell, it's from an unofficial playing guide)--Otherarrow 22:57, November 28, 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure how Edit

I'm not sure how to edit galleries anymore. There isn't a thing that lets me edit a gallery while editing. So I have a question: how do I edit galleries?

Sorry, I forgot to sign my post with ~~~~. Black Dragon Laguz 00:00, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

You go to the Gallery and add the filename like so:

<gallery>
File:EXAMPLE
</gallery>
I'll be honest, I don't recall there ever being a feature that lets you directly edit galleries aside from this method.--Otherarrow 00:15, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Hm, I remember that the galleries were represented by pictures (and they still are). I remember that, moving over the gallery symbol, would make something appear in the top-right corner that said "Edit". I can't click it anymore, and, in most cases, I can't edit galleries. There are some I can edit using the method you previously described, but most of the time, I can't use that method. Black Dragon Laguz 17:41, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Becoming a Rollback user Edit

Hello, Otherarrow. I would like to become a Rollback user someday and I have no idea how many edits and how much activity I need to run for Rollback rights. Is there an article I can read for more information about this? Black Dragon Laguz 17:48, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

Are you around regularly? Rollback is usual for mainly reverting vandalism. If so, then sure I supposs?--Otherarrow 19:02, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
I've been around regularly for about 3 or 4 days. I know what Rollback is, but I was just wondering if there was an article about requirements for becoming a rollback user. Oh, and also, I will be around regularly for a long while. Black Dragon Laguz 22:59, November 29, 2010 (UTC)
Alright then. Just a word of advice for other users, I probably won't give it just because you asked. This user deserves it.--Otherarrow 00:16, November 30, 2010 (UTC)
Thank you so much, Otherarrow! I was thinking about running for rollback rights, but I noticed you decided to give them to me, because you thought I deserved them. Again, thank you, Otherarrow! Black Dragon Laguz 02:54, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

NIWA... Edit

I just noticed this and thought you might be interested. Let me know what you think (or if you've heard of this before...) Also, I was wondering if you knew of anybody who might be interested in helping me out with my Fire Emblem Fanon Wiki, since it needs some work but I want to keep it afloat. Thanks! AFErk Summon 07:25, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

No. I have heard of this, and this Wiki will have no part in it. I'll be honest, we really have no reason to leave; no one is complaining about the skin, Wikia hasn't really been interfering with anything we've done, and nothing is really going wrong. We are not moving for the sake of moving.
Also, a Fanon Wiki for Fire Emblem? Huh?--Otherarrow 10:50, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

Question about Featured Articles Edit

A few days ago, I nominated Naesala for the next featured article. Now it's December 1st, which normally, would mean that the featured article would be changed. However, no one has voted for my Featured Article nomination (although, technically, I voted for it myself). So should I wait for more votes or go ahead and change the featured article? Black Dragon Laguz 01:45, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Wait a bit. In all fairness, I just changed it to Volke, like last week (the guy who said he'd deal with it left....)--Otherarrow 01:51, December 2, 2010 (UTC)
Okay then. I thought you would want me to wait a bit. Black Dragon Laguz 14:16, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

Etymology Edit

Please keep your edits relevant to the game, and refrain from direct religious synopsis especially when they are both incorrect and not based in proper scholarship. While I appreciate the efforts, it would be more beneficial to the community if you did research as to why the developers chose the names, instead of speculating on the name in general. It might also be worth noting that the edits are based purely on your opinion, and while that is an inherent trait of a wiki page, I urge you to take a step back and try to focus more on the game itself and less on trivial issues or promoting your own edits, which while interesting to a point, have little to know grounding in real research. Instead of google searching names, try emailing the developers, they have in the past, at least in my experience, been extremely willing to explain many of the choices they made. Thanks for what you are contributing to the community, you do good work, just try to stick to the game, and less to random ideas or facts that you personally think should be added.

But then again, I'm the one who nominated it... Black Dragon Laguz 15:21, December 17, 2010 (UTC)

It doesn't matter to me. It's your choice.--Otherarrow 15:22, December 17, 2010 (UTC)
I definitely want to vote. Black Dragon Laguz 18:57, December 17, 2010 (UTC)
OK. For which one? I'm sorry, but that was pretty vague.--Otherarrow 19:00, December 17, 2010 (UTC)
I was talking about the Pegasus Knight article... Sorry it took me long to respond. Black Dragon Laguz 17:30, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

I'm confused Edit

wait, i'm a little confused,

Can you please explain how you made the mage a different color and inserted it into your signature? The preceding unsigned comment was added by GeneralWolf (talk • contribs).

What? I don't have a mage in my signature.--Otherarrow 13:44, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

Copyright issues Edit

Trueblade74: Otherarrow, WHY did you delete my comment on the Fomortiis page? You KNOW I was 100% correct! TELL ME WHY YOU DELETED IT!!!

What copyright issues? He is a big demon guy with goat horns. A lot of devil type characters are big demon guys with goat horns. Also, there is the whole Nintindo can't infringe on it's own copyright. I know next to jack about copyright and I could tell that right away!

EDIT:Oh Aveyn Knight already corrected you. I thank him. I am not good at this sorta stuff.--Otherarrow 23:12, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

Uhh...FE is made by Intelligent Systems. And DON'T tell me that's a branch of Nintendo. Trueblade74 00:34, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

But....it is? It's one of Nintendo's subsidiaries. First party, all that whoda. Which is why Marth and Roy are in SMB and are not considered "third party". Please do some research before you go around pasting inaccurate facts into articles. --Otherarrow 00:54, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Admin! Edit

Wanted to actually thank you for your "bureaucrat" role here. Thanks for dealing with all the difficult folks, problems that are hard to deal with, grey areas, controversies, even greyer areas (lol), and reprimand dealings. I admire your almost self-depreciating way of taking on blame for what is dirty but necessary.

Keep it up! I may not always express it, but I appreciate what you go through to impart and preserve specialized FE knowledge to the public. You're just doing your job, so I'll continue to do mine. Of course, Semajdraehs and Aveyn Knight are also just as high in my esteem, so you don't have to feel so lonely up top.

Let's have an effective 2011! =)

Some questions about featured articles and voting for them Edit

If an article gets nominated twice, could that count as a vote for the article? Someone nominated Ballista, even though it's already been nominated by another user. Also, do you want me to archive the votes for featured articles, or do I not have to? Black Dragon Laguz 03:02, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

If something gets nominated twice, turn the later nomination into a vote for the former I suppose. As for archiving the votes, you can if you want. So far, we have been archiving the number of votes mostly though.--Otherarrow 12:27, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

Okay. Well, I changed the featured article to the one with the most votes, but I didn't put the number of votes in that featured article votes archive. Black Dragon Laguz 17:18, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

Karla Edit

So what's up with the Karla charry page?

I felt the need to change the layout of the page, since it seemed to easier to find information for those looking up how to recruit the character. And I'm sorry to say, but the previously typed page was just horrendously written.

Makes sense with the list. Now: I'm happy, you're happy, we're all happy. Yayz.

Edit: Quick question while I'm here: why does my post appear on top of yours?~ Time of Ghosts 01:21, January 26, 2011 (UTC)

The list that I reverted wasn't really any better at all, just the exact same information written in list format. If you think a sentience is unclear, or worded incorrectly, feel free to clean up, but rewriting a section in list format to "fix" something that can be fixed by changing a few words around in the paragraph is a tad extreme clean up, and looks odd since no other article does this. Also, sign your post with ~~~~. I don't know who you are otherwise.--Otherarrow 00:59, January 26, 2011 (UTC)

Fire Emblem Gaiden Character Portraits Edit

I agree with you on the enemy character portrait issue regarding the exclusion of the entire stat box. Thumbs up! =)--Aivass Remurias 14:03, January 26, 2011 (UTC)

Assigning my anonymous editing with IP help Edit

Good day to you, I just created an account although I did it after editing something and now I find myself wondering if you could assign anonymous edits to my profile with IP verification? If not, no problem but it doesn't hurt to ask, right?

Thanks for reading,

greetings

I don't think I can. Sorry.--Otherarrow 22:14, February 6, 2011 (UTC)

What is "sysop"? Edit

I was looking at the talk page for the Requestbox template, and I saw that, after promoting to rollback, there is a promotion for something called "sysop". So I was just wondering; what is sysop? Black Dragon Laguz 22:25, February 7, 2011 (UTC)

I don't know the specifics, but a sysop is an admin. I think it means "system operator" but I could be wrong. To be more important....why do we have such a template?--Otherarrow 22:29, February 7, 2011 (UTC)
You're right; it does mean system operator. The requestbox is used for this page. Also, what could a sysop user do for this wiki? I read a bit more about sysop here. Black Dragon Laguz 23:21, February 7, 2011 (UTC)
We ban people and delete pages, as well as rollback. It's nothing for you to worry about.--Otherarrow 23:30, February 7, 2011 (UTC)
I see. Okay. Black Dragon Laguz 00:36, February 8, 2011 (UTC)

Been off for a whileEdit

Sorry I haven't been on in ages (Further maths and university applications have been draining all my remaining free time for a while). Anything new to the wiki I should consider before editing again? --Semajdraehs- any replies to my Talk page 14:07, March 13, 2011 (UTC)

Welcome back! Nothing I can really think of wikiwise.--Otherarrow 14:20, March 13, 2011 (UTC)

Stat lists and Charstat templates Edit

If I see a page with a list of stats (such as the Lloyd page currently), should it be changed to the appropriate template?

Also, are there any standardized layouts for pages (for example, I noticed some of the boss pages have the boss stats labeled "Boss Stats" and some labeled "In Game"...)? I like making things more consistent, but I don't want to accidentally reverse people's edits by following a different standard. - Zeldara109 02:29, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Stat lists should be changed to the appropriate template. I'll be honest, the reason some of them aren't is due to laziness on my part. As for Boss Stats VS In Game, I prefer In Game, since it also allows us to include growths (even though only playables have notable grwoths) and overall sections, although I admit I haven't been consistent on that.--Otherarrow 12:09, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn game scriptsEdit

I noticed that Satria_Hitam has started added the scripts for these games onto this wiki. I understand that the contents of the scripts belong to Nintendo/IS, so I guess there's no real reason for them not to be on this wiki. However I believe that the work put into transcribing them belongs to the fans and in this case, I'd recommend giving credit to the original transcribers where due. This should be FEPlanet for the Radiant Dawn scripts and Generic Officer for the Path of Radiance ones. Aveyn Knight 13:13, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Fair enough. It shall be done. Just point me to where these scripts are here on the wiki, and I will add the proper credits.--Otherarrow 13:38, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
YOU DID NOTICE ME *sob* YAYZZ!! Oh Im very sorry for not put tha credit but I, Satria Hitam shall put em next time!!! Satria Hitam 15:13, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, btw.--Otherarrow 16:01, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry for not being active here anymore Edit

Hey, Otherarrow. It's me, Black Dragon Laguz, and I haven't been able to edit anymore because of a hacker changing my passwords and removing my email on Wikia so that I can not change my password. I am not sure if there is a way Wikia can recover my account or not, so I might contact them and see if they can. If not, then I guess I'll contribute as an unregistered contributor from now on. 75.214.113.63 20:27, May 16, 2011 (UTC)

Wait... Y U NO create a new account? Satria Hitam 11:00, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
Because someone not informed might accuse him of sockpuppetry? Don't bother him about it.--Otherarrow 12:53, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
Well, I contacted Wikia, asking them if there was a way to get my account back, and they said I couldn't unless I could guess my password. I can't, so I think I might make a new account someday. 75.214.104.113 15:29, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
Okay, this is my new account. I'll put the reason for using this account instead of my old one on my user page. Keegthegreen 20:04, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

Do you know how to make userboxes and do you know any real important articles that need help?DivinedragonstoneTikianDivinedragonstone 16:04, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

Userboxes, no, sorry. Important articles that need help? Off the top of my head, the TearRing Saga and Gaiden articles could always use some help, although I'd understand if you can't do that (both are pretty obscure). We could use a bit more New Mystery info as well. But don't worry about that, feel free to work on improving whatever article you want.--Otherarrow 16:10, May 24, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, how many users are on this wik,i it seems pretty empty?DivinedragonstoneTikianDivinedragonstone 16:17, May 24, 2011 (UTC)
Not sure the exact number. More than it seems, since people tend to come and go, depending on the time of day, week, or so on. Remember, people do have real life engagements.--Otherarrow 16:20, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

Okay but why are talkbubbles discouraged?DivinedragonstoneTikianDivinedragonstone 15:27, May 26, 2011 (UTC)

Several reasons. People clutter the recent changes with editing them instead of the articles, they look very "off" if only a few people are using them, since they waste more space and tend to be more "colorful" than normal comments..--Otherarrow 15:38, May 26, 2011 (UTC)
Is normal not just what you wnt it to be?, I see many wikis featuring theme, thanks fo your concern but I want to use themDivinedragonstoneTikianDivinedragonstone 15:11, May 27, 2011 (UTC)
Several of those wikis are also a lot larger and more active than we are (and if they aren't, they tend to have a problem with people messing around with userspace instead of editing articles, which is what I am trying to avoid) You mentioned yourself how "empty" the wiki feels. Not to mention, again, one out of five users using a talkbubble when the other 4 don't just looks odd.--Otherarrow 15:55, May 27, 2011 (UTC)

ModeratingEdit

Sure, I'll take the position. I can't recall many times that I've seen vandalism that hasn't already been cleaned up, but I think I check this wiki frequently enough. Aveyn Knight 13:46, June 5, 2011 (UTC)

Tirado Edit

According to Sereneforest, Tirado was someone else in the Beta FE8. Should we note that despite He doesn't have any significance in the story, He has "powerful foe" battle theme on?

Also, Beta Tirado-replacement (Jude) was named the Obsidian(Duessel's title in release) Is it an overlook?

(Unregistered user)The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.26.197.129 (talk).

Jude already has an article. Whether or not we should speculate that he was replaced by Tirado really depends if the users think it is appropriate.--Otherarrow 21:50, June 6, 2011 (UTC)

How can I speak to you?Ilyana-Cutie 21:51, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

By posting a message on this talk page, as you just did? What do you need?--Otherarrow 21:55, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

I thoughting making a Jeorge and Tiki Archetype, the Jeorge is because of Shinon, Innes and Klein. I guess we don't need a Tiki archetype. I put Michalis to be funny, but he remind me of Haar when playing him. I know Michalis is not the enemy in the New Mystery, but neither is Minerva. I thought they want playable in the adventure, I guess they have to be appear as an enemy. Milady first appear as an enemy, serenesforest said "Automatically from Turn 3" for recuirement, but noone can hit her when she's an enemy. Crazy! @_@ I'm sorry for the mess up, I thought of it fun.Ilyana-Cutie 22:13, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

Jeorge, Shinon, Innes, and Klein are prepromoted snipers. That's it. Jeorge and Shinon do have younger archers who look up to them, but Innes and Klein don't. As for Michalis, he never fights against Medon, only against Gharnef/Medeus, who he was already against before joining the party. Contrast Minerva, who fights against Medon and Michalis; Altenna, who fights against Thracia and Areone; Milady and Zeiss, who fight against Bern and Galle and Murdock, who both were either friendly towards them or implied to have been such; Cormag, who fights against Grado and his Emperor; or Haar and Jill, who fights against their adopted home of Daein and (in Jill's case) Shiharam. It's just not the same. But don't worry about it, everyone makes missteps, and any contributions are appreciated.--Otherarrow 22:24, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

Very well, I know how the Minerva goes, and I was looking for someone that know which is you.

Just thought for the Jeorge, I'm thinking Sniper as the replacement for the archer. Ilyana-Cutie 23:16, June 27, 2011 (UTC)

PitfulRevenge3Edit

This guy is stalking me everywhere. Can you protect my userpage from anyone. I don't come here anymore, and please get of this user name you see above ban from this wiki for harassing me, please.--NinjaSheik 17:11, July 4, 2011 (UTC)

You're really unhelpful, you know that? Edit

Really, accusing me of spamming for doing something that would help the Fire Emblem community? WTF. Just...WTF. MasterKnight 19:32, July 11, 2011 (UTC)

Pardon? I don't want people from Wiki A going over to Wiki B and causing problems (whether it's people from here going there or people from there coming here) I've seen (and had to deal with) crosswiki problems before. And honestly, how would editing a wiki affect the Fire Emblem community in anyway whatsoever? This wiki is about thousands of pages large and it doesn't affect the Fire Emblem fandom at all outside the few people who edit it. Your wiki is a few pages on a obscure site that only you seem to know about. If you must advertise your little wiki, I have no problem with using your user page. I've tried to be firm while still being polite, but if you insist on being rude, I shall be in kind.--Otherarrow 19:42, July 11, 2011 (UTC)
First off, you were rude first. Seriously, would it KILL YOU to use IM? Oh wait, it killed other people. And if I cared at this point about that making no sense, it'd be because my life would be considerably better. Second, you're acting like I own the Tropes Mirror Wiki when I don't and I'm not interested at all in running it, just making sure there's even a bloody good alternative to vanilla TV Tropes, which is plagued with an administration that makes the GameFAQs mods look like saints, not even exaggerating. Oh wait, you haven't heard of TV Tropes? How would you not have been able to at this point? That makes even less sense. But what do you care? I'm wasting my breath making any contributions here if you're not going to show interest or gratitude. MasterKnight 21:02, July 11, 2011 (UTC)
You were the one who came to my talk page and basicly said I was a jerk. And, well, the whole "alternative to TV Tropes" thing is another reason I honestly don't want anything to do with that place. It was founded by a guy who got himself banned from TV Tropes and was created solely out of spite (not to mention that, infamously, most of the articles are copy/paste jobs, which as a Wiki editor, I just frown on in general) And I do know about TV Tropes. I edit TV Tropes. I have no problem with TV Tropes, nor have I seen any sign of corruption from the site, and I've checked! (also note that I don't spam links to TV Tropes or it's FE pages, no matter how much I want people to edit them) I don't want to get this wiki involved in any WikiDrama. Ever. No WikiDrama. And who said I showed you no interest or graditude? I kinda liked that ClassStat template you made. You want me to pat you on the back for it? Do you expect me to go to every user who has ever done a good faith edit and tell them that I love them and every edit they make? While that would be nice, I don't have the time or the ability to track everyone down. Chill out man.--Otherarrow 21:26, July 11, 2011 (UTC)

New Wikia feature - ChatEdit

Hi! I'm Mark, from Wikia's Content Team. I'm excited to announce a brand-new Wikia feature - the Chat. The chat has been available for a while in beta, but it was recently added to WikiaLabs, meaning that any local sysop can activate the feature on their wiki! The chat is an excellent way to communicate with less experienced editors and new visitors to the wiki, without having to explain the process of editing entirely using talk pages. In addition to that, the chat also allows you to discuss news about the game easily without having to renew a page all the time waiting for the new messages bubble. Just to be clear, Wikia is not forcing this feature on any wiki, it's completely optional. However, we do recommend the feature as it'll only make editing easier, and attract more editors to the wiki. To activate the feature, visit Special:WikiaLabs and activate the chat. If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to leave me a message on my talk page! Cheers, Mark@fandom (talk) 22:39, July 12, 2011 (UTC)

About FE4's Pawn Shop and Inheritance Edit

Not sure if this is the best place to ask but...

In FE4, Does the pawn shop in the First generation gets "Carried" over to the second generation? and If Like I put Lex's Axes in his Storage, will it appear in His Son's Storage?

And... If I made Fin hold the Wing clipper sword (via getting it by the village) and his Son is Delmund, Will Delmund inherit the Wing clipper sword? Muted 02:31, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

I am honestly not the best person to ask about FE4 specifics. From what I know, yes, Delmund will inherit Fin's Wing Clipper. I think that is one of the downsides to pairing Fin is that he doesn't carry over his equipment from one gen to the next, instead having his son inherit it. Don't quote me on that though. Sorry I can't help.--Otherarrow 14:12, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

Ok sorry about that. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 14.136.115.121 (talk • contribs).

Soren's model does belong here Edit

Of course it does, how come Leanne got a model pic? Heron.PNG
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Grabbergirl (talk • contribs).

We already have Soren's Wind Sage model. It's at Wind Sage. Because in Radiant Dawn his starting class is Wind Sage. It's on the Wind Sage page, and if I were you, I would have looked there before I uploaded my lower quality one. Please look before you upload lower quality versions of screen shots we already have.--Otherarrow 02:27, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

Look!! Since you added a better picture I added the icky one to my profile to my gallery. Have you noticed my profile is filled with Soren pics. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Grabbergirl (talk • contribs).

Featured Article Reminder Edit

Just a reminder, you might want to put Hardin in the Featured Article right now in the Home Page of the Fire Emblem Wiki, since it's about October 2nd right now.-- King Marth 64 (talkother wikisblogs) http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k576/DigiPen92/th_20px-Marthsprite.gif Peace_Ness.png 04:25, October 2, 2011 (UTC)

Durandal Edit

I don't follow your logic behind claiming that Durandal can slay dragons instantly. If Durandal truly could instantly defeat any dragon, wouldn't this power be represented in the gameplay? Saying that the fact Durandal killed Ninian in one hit means all dragons must be defeated in one hit seems like taking a huge leap of faith, especially when the events depicted by gameplay say otherwise. Also, that the Fire Dragon can survive a hit from Durandal is definitely not speculative as you claim. I can watch Eliwood strike the Fire Dragon with Durandal several times before the Fire Dragon is finally defeated. Gameplay and story can certainly have distinctions, but there is no reason they need to contradict each other. 76.78.175.182 07:12, October 8, 2011 (UTC)

Gameplay and Story Segregation is to fault here, and it can be annoying. Durandal can easily kill a dragon in a cutscene, but needs mutiple strikes to do it in gameplay? (This wasn't a problem in FE6, where the Durandal or any of the other Divine Weapons didn't show any "instant move to kill dragon" property) But I do see your point. I'll be honest with you, the whole section is kinda redundant. So the sword that was made to specifically kill dragons can kill dragons? I couldn't tell. Sorry for the trouble.--Otherarrow 16:03, October 8, 2011 (UTC)

96.225.93.88 Edit

Hey Otherarrow, I undid 96.225.93.88's edit on the New Resolve and I moved his/her message to the talkpage and I left him a message to use a talkpage for the future and I'm pretty sure that he/she's little too new for editing on the Wiki or possibly don't know how to use a Talk Page.-- King Marth 64 (talkother wikisblogs) http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k576/DigiPen92/th_20px-Marthsprite.gif Peace_Ness.png 03:00, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

Requests for rollback user rights Edit

Hey Otherarrow, do you know where if there is a Requests for rollback rights? I will probably going to join in and help this wiki by undoing spams & vandal works and help cleaning up the stuff. I did some good things in the Wiki by uploading images to pages, creating pages, and categorize the files. And I will try to do my best on this wiki and I got about 2,226 edits.-- King Marth 64 (talkother wikisblogs) http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k576/DigiPen92/th_20px-Marthsprite.gif Peace_Ness.png 03:01, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

If I think the wiki needs another user with rollback, I'll appoint one, don't worry about it. Word of advice though, asking for it won't help you get it at all.--Otherarrow 13:00, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

But, was there like 3 rollback users in this wiki and there are two of them are kinda like inactive & the other one is still around? And the other admin is inactive also?

And also, I did checked on other wikis and they have a sign-up for rollback user rights and the Bureaucrats can decide on the user to let them become rollback user as long as they do it good and they can help the admins and some of the other wikis have like up to 20 or more rollback users.-- King Marth 64 (talkother wikisblogs) http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k576/DigiPen92/th_20px-Marthsprite.gif Peace_Ness.png 17:26, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

We don't need 20 or more rollback users. The ones we have are enough (I am sure most of them still check in, even if they don't edit). Also, just because other wikis do X doesn't mean we should do X. If the time comes where we actually need another rollback user, I'll be sure to consider you, despite your begging.--Otherarrow 17:39, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

Reyson ImageEdit

Hello

I changed a image of Reyson, and soon after, you have returned the old image, so I have some questions:

1 - Why not leave that was posted recently, since it has a better quality and is an Artwork of Radiant Dawn?

2 - You said it was an image of PoR, but didn't the same thing with Ike, in which the image is the official Artwork of Radiant Dawn, why?

Sorry for the bad english.. =P

Waiting your Answer!

IZeroI 22:24, November 22, 2011 (UTC)

You did notice that the image of Reyson you uploaded was different from the artwork already there, yes? The artwork there was from Radiant Dawn, but the art you uploaded was from Path of Radiance. (BTW, we do have a Path of Radiance Reyson art that could use that higher quality image.) If you need me to clarify anything, feel free to ask.--Otherarrow 23:56, November 22, 2011 (UTC)

Hm, I understand.. Thanks man!

Ah. Thought as much. I'd rather you not, but as long as you don't try pasting fanart into actual articles I guess? I'll keep an eye on it.--Otherarrow 01:33, December 13, 2011 (UTC)

Top 10 list:Best Wikis of 2011 Edit

I nominate the Fire Emblem Wiki for Top 10 list:Best Wikis of 2011 and we have around 25 votes right now & this wiki is now on #6 and can you add it to the Community Message Side Bar on the Special:WikiActivity and can have the Fire Emblem Wiki to win?

The voting was created by Kate.moon.

If we are truly one of the best wikis, I'd think we wouldn't need to ask, yes? Also, I use Monobook and recommend it to everyone else, so I don't get the WikiActivity thing. Sorry.--Otherarrow 17:52, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

Then who did put the Link of the TearRingSaga Forum on the Community Message Side Bar on the Recent Activities?-- King Marth 64 (talkother wikisblogs) http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k576/DigiPen92/th_20px-Marthsprite.gif Peace_Ness.png

Beats me. Probably Semaj. Like I said, I don't see that thing and can't edit it because I use the superior Monobook skin.. Although this explains why newbies who never actually edited before keep trying to necropost there.--Otherarrow 18:05, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

Ok, should I put the link on the Talkpage of the Fire Emblem Wiki or create a blogpost or add the link to the Main Page as a message to the community?-- King Marth 64 (talkother wikisblogs) http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k576/DigiPen92/th_20px-Marthsprite.gif Peace_Ness.png 18:16, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

Personally? I'd leave it be. You can make a blog post yourself if you want though, although I'd advise against trying to fit it on the front page.--Otherarrow 18:22, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

Ok, I just create a blogpost with the link to the Best Wikis of 2011 so that everyone can vote.-- King Marth 64 (talkother wikisblogs) http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k576/DigiPen92/th_20px-Marthsprite.gif Peace_Ness.png 18:54, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

Hello again! Edit

Hey Otherarrow, haven't been around for like a year and a half... I came by to look something up and was reminded of how I have... unfinished business here. That business being that I still want third position back. I've noticed some of the changes around here, such as two new rollbacks, but seeing as one of them has been inactive since April, I figured maybe you guys could use another set of hands around. That being said, I have a rather ambitious proposal. I know that in your dealings with me you have no doubt concluded that that is not what you want to hear coming from ol' C13g3... But, hear me out: Being fully bilingual in French and English, I would be willing to spearhead an effort to create French pages. Of course, I'd still be happy to help out on the English side but I have been so terribly busy and I'm unsure how much I'll be able to help out. Anyways, let me know what you think of my proposal and I just want to say, it's great to be back!
C13g3 -Dracoshield--Talk Page-03:42, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

It's great to have you back! I have no problems with French pages, but usually foreign languages get their own Wiki. However, I don't want to burden you with running a whole "alternate" wiki, especially since you claim to be so busy. So I really don't know what to do at this moment. Don't worry about it for now. Take your time, ease back into things, and I am sure you will get back into the swing of editing again. Any help is appreciated!--Otherarrow 04:06, December 24, 2011 (UTC)
Awesome, thanks a lot! I'll definitely take your advice about taking it easy for now lest I should burn out. I have been pondering on the implications of creating a French FEwiki and certainly agree that it entails much work. That being said, I'll help out here and there for now then if/when I feel prepared to take on the task, I'll let you know and hopefully all will go smoothly. I just feel that taking on a project like that is the best way for me to keep motivated and give me enough work to keep me active in the community. Anyhow, I'll see you around and be sure to let me know if you or Semaj have anything that specifically needs work!

20th anniversary scansEdit

Sure, that's fine since they're just scans from a publically released book. Can you make sure to add a note like in Vigarde's image? Aveyn Knight 21:08, January 7, 2012 (UTC)

Citation Edit

71.187.189.217 22:51, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

How? I didn't add any citations, so I don't know what they're talking about. Can you fix this please?

Graphic Display and Musical Score for PoR: I got this message on the preview:

Cite error: <ref> tags exist, but no <references/> tag was found

Nothing wrong with your edit. Apparently, someone tried to cite sources, failed, and never cleaned it up.--Otherarrow 01:46, January 12, 2012 (UTC)

ArchetypesEdit

Archetype#Nabarl

@ If Marisa is turly a Nabarl, shouldn't she be an exception as well, as she is also female, like Ira? I never thought she was a Nabarl because she came in the middle of the game, but if you say so, then she should be an exception because she is female like Ira.

71.187.189.217 13:02, January 22, 2012 (UTC)

Joshua appears noticeably before her and fits most the criteria (including some of the optional ones, like being linked to the Lena character). I have said before that the sole reason we didn't count Marisa is because of Joshua. And Zihark joins relatively midgame as well.--Otherarrow 15:25, January 22, 2012 (UTC)

Some of this sounds a bit unexplained. Fir and Marisa both have killer weapons and are recruited at about the same time, but have different roles? That's suggesting any enemy myrmidon with a killing edge that is recruited is automatically a Nabarl.71.187.189.217 17:56, January 22, 2012 (UTC)

Well, isn't the gist of the archetype "Myrmidon (or Mercenary with Myrmidon like properties) who starts as an enemy and has a Killer Weapon or a replacement skill if no Killer weapons exist?" I have nothing to really say about Fir, as I haven't played FE6. If you think she is one, then add her. I don't care. (Note that I wasn't the one who added Marisa) What I mean is, don't worry about it. It's not worth fussing over.--Otherarrow 18:17, January 22, 2012 (UTC)

Sandbox TemplatesEdit

The thing you did with Nino and Camus in the sandbox looks too complicated; can you try to format it a little better? 71.187.189.217 23:53, January 23, 2012 (UTC)

You're right, it does look too complicated. Which is why I never implemented it! How would I format it though? Just telling me "do it better" doesn't help me at all.--Otherarrow 02:42, January 24, 2012 (UTC)

How is Astol's page a stub? It seems a tad small, but it still looks pretty complete. 71.187.189.217 22:21, January 25, 2012 (UTC)

If you don't think it's a stub, remove the stub template. Easy.--Otherarrow 23:53, January 25, 2012 (UTC)

ConfusionEdit

In FE1 and FE2, only the iron sword was referred to as "iron". The lance, bow, and axe are not the case. Do their stats belong on the axe page or iron axe page? --71.187.189.217 01:38, January 31, 2012 (UTC)

For the "adjectiveless" or "default" weapons in FE1 and FE2, we assume they are Iron since they match up pretty much with iron weapons in later games.--Otherarrow 01:51, January 31, 2012 (UTC)
