The Valflame (ファラフレイム, Farafureimu lit. Falaflame in the Japanese version and Fire Emblem Museum; Faraflame in Fire Emblem Treasure, and Fala Flame in the fan translations) is one of twelve holy weapons from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. Valflame is the tome that was used by Crusader Fjalar, bestowed upon her by the divine dragon Salamander during the Miracle of Dahna. The tome of Valflame is the property of Fjalar's descendants, who are the heirs of House Velthomer of Grannvale.
The Valflame tome grants its wielder +10 Magic, +10 Defense and +10 Resistance (only +5 Magic in Awakening), and may only be equipped by users possessing major Fjalar holy blood. This tome is unobtainable in Genealogy of the Holy War.
Background
In the events of Genealogy of the Holy War, the Valflame tome is wielded by Arvis of Velthomer. Making its debut in the Prologue, he uses it as his weapon of choice when he enters Chalphy to give Sigurd a Silver Sword. Later during the Battle of Belhalla in Chapter 5, Arvis, uses Valflame to personally execute Sigurd. The Valflame tome reappears in Chapter 10, where Arvis uses it once again in a final struggle to resist Seliph's troops.
Valflame makes an appearance in Fire Emblem Awakening, where it is wielded by Canis, one of the Deadlords.
