The Violin Bow is a Bow that is introduced in Fire Emblem Fates. Despite being classified as a joke weapon that literally takes after the likeness of a violin and possesses low Might, the Violin Bow can be very useful due to its ability to boost the Skill of ally units located within two spaces post-battle. This effect does not stack with Rally Skill.
Aside from its ability to boost skill to nearby allies, the Violin Bow is a solid bow in its own right. While its might is rather low, it is unhindered by other negative traits and can critical, activate skills, and double attack as normal.
Analogous to the Violin Bow is the Harp Yumi, which is also associated with a musical instrument, has poor might, and invokes a skill boost to nearby allies.

Etymology[]
The bow is one of the parts of a violin; by rowing the bow back and forth on the strings, the friction between the bow's string and the violin's produces a sound. A violin's bowstring is usually made with a cluster of horsehair, which needs to be frequently polished with wax in order to be prevented from breaking.
