Trivia

  • The Volant Axe is the only Axe weapon that deals extra damage to flying units. It is particularly effective against the Pegasus Knight class-line, comprising of classes that wield Lances (which is beaten by the Axe in the Weapon Triangle) as their primary weapons and sports low Defenses.
  • The overall design of the Volant Axe bears a (near) exact resemblance to certain models of Kpingas. This is highly intentional, considering that the Kpingas are indeed throwing blades, and the in-game description for the Volant Axe even deems that it is designed to be thrown (albeit skyward).
  • The Fates enemy exclusive Iron Star Axe, Steel Star Axe and Silver Star Axe all bear a resemblance to the Volant Axe in both appearance and range, but lack the effectiveness against Flier units.
