“If we're going to die, then let's do it as knights of our kingdom.”
—Warren readying his men to attack Graizel Prison

Warren is a supporting character who originates from the Fire Emblem: Hasha no Tsurugi manga. He is a loyal knight of Tania and close friend to fellow knight Gant. Posing as a bandit after Castle Tania's fall, he would reunite with Gant and aid in the rescue of Tania's princess.

Profile[]

Warren had been a knight in Tania's service for some time prior to the events of the manga. In this time, Tania's princess, Tiena, gifted him a sword as a symbol of his courageous deeds in defense of Tania. It is a sword he has treasured ever since.

Warren and his men were able to survive the fall of Tania when Bern invaded Lycia by fleeing into the woods. There they remained for a time posing as bandits in order to shake off their pursuers, until they ran into Gant and Al. After reuniting with their old comrade, Warren and his men held a celebration where Warren explained their current situation. Gant then informed him that Tiena was being held in Graizel Prison, and suggested that they head there to rescue her, although Warren was reluctant to do so. Aggravated by Warren's cowardice, Gant insulted him, which instigated a fight between the two. In the struggle, Warren's prized sword was knocked off of a cliff and into the rough waters below where it was presumed lost. Refusing to simply accept that it was lost without even trying to look, Al dove into the water to look for it. While the others presumed him to be dead, Al was eventually able to return with the sword in hand, and after returning it to Warren, the two head off to save Tiena.

Ashamed of himself, Warren eventually rallies his men to support Gant and Al and seize Graizel Prison. The group manage to successful take the prison and free the princess. While Al, Tiena and Gant decide to move onward to Worde to meet Tiena's uncle, Warren is tasked with amassing allies so that they may face Bern.

Warren is not seen again until the battle outside of Bern Castle where he and numerous other reinforcement from Lycia arrive to support the Lycian League army. He also helps storm Bern Castle, where he held off some of Bern's forces so Al and Roy could have a chance to make it to the throne room and face King Zephiel.

After the war, he returned to Tania with Tiena and Gant where he aided in the reconstruction. He was also responsible for training the horses of Tania, earning him the title "Father of the Fleet Horses." On the day of the Tiena's weeding, he personally goes to retrieve Viscount Eldreed, who had left in order to get some air. Upon finding him, it is revealed that Viscount Eldreed is actually Al.

Personality[]

Warren is a proud and loyal knight of Tania, whose valorous actions in defense of his homeland has earned him the respect of his men and Tiena. That said, he is not infallible, as he is capable of giving into fear as shown when he was hesitant to rescue Tiena after learning of where she was being held. He still does of course have his pride, as having his honor be called into question by Gant leads him to go into a rage and attack him.

He was ultimately able to come through in the end, leading his men to successfully take Graizel Prison and rescue Tiena. His courage in battle was also seen in the siege of Bern Castle where he tells Al that he did not need to be saved by him. Like Gant, he cares greatly for Tiena and values the sword that she bestowed to him as if it was a part of himself. He shows great pride in her growth and abilities as shown when he was overjoyed having seen Tiena cast the spell Aureola to destroy Bern's dragons.

A seasoned knight, Warren is a more than capable fighter and leader. He lead the whole of the Lycian reinforcements during the battle outside of Bern Castle and was a part of the vanguard during the siege of Bern Castle.
