The Weight stat indicates a character's overall heaviness. It has appeared in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.

Overview[]

The Weight stat refers to a unit's overall weight, including applicable mount and armor. It is used as a modifier that determines if one unit can rescue or shove another.

In both Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, a unit may rescue another unit if the unit performing the rescue has a Weight stat at least two points greater than the target. In Path of Radiance, the same holds true for the Shove command. However, in Radiant Dawn, the Shove mechanic was changed to function based on the difference between the two characters' respective Constitution stats, and one unit may shove another so long as the unit performing the shove has a Constitution no lower than two points below the target unit.

Weight does not increase when a unit levels up, but may be affected when a unit changes class. Laguz units typically have much higher weights in their transformed states than in their humanoid states. Mounted units also typically have higher Weight values, allowing these units to rescue other units with fewer restrictions.

An expendable item called a Statue Frag grants permanent boosts to a unit's Weight and Constitution.
